Bad experience

Posted Aug 22, 2014
When booking over a month in advance I was required to pay in full that day. So when I checked in and they didn't have my king bed room, only two double bed rooms available, I was not happy. After all, if you pay for something up front, it should be locked in and guaranteed. Secondly, the hotel was under what looked like some minor renovations, but I was awoken at 7am my first morning to hammering on the walls from above me. I complained to the front desk and all I was told was "they aren't supposed to start working until 8am". Not the customer service I'd like to receive!!

Clean hotel with a friendly staff. It's on the river near a bunch of bars and restaurants and close to the train.

Great Location

Posted Aug 18, 2014
This hotel is conveniently located to Pittsburgh's downtown and sporting venues. Also, the views from the river/city view rooms are amazing, and I definitely think they are worth additional money. Everything was clean, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast was pretty good, and there is a variety of restaurant choices in the Station Square area. I would stay here again, and I recommend others to book this hotel.

We had an excellent experience at the hotel. Close to everything and very convenient for taking the ferry over to the ball park.

Great Hotel close to lots of amenities

Posted Aug 7, 2014
Pros: Newly renovated rooms, very comfortable bed
Cons: Sound proofing in the rooms for the passing trains.
Location: Station square has vast array of neat shops and great restaurants from a brazilian steak house to the hard rock cafe, to some pubs and sports bars.
Great room very comfortable, desk staff were okay Ive had much better, the hotel location is good and bad you have all the shops and greats restaurants there at station square but you also have a set of tracks between you and the river that freight trains loudly frequent, I was woken up a few times by the train whistles and loud rumbling

Our location we agree is fantastic in the Station Square complex where guests can walk to several different dining and shopping establishments. During our current renovation process noise abatement measures are being taken to help with the sound of the trains. Thank you for your feedback we hope to see you again soon.

Beautiful River View

Posted Jul 29, 2014
We stayed here after a soccer game and concert. The hotel was beautiful, and our river view room exceeded our expectations. Considering the price and ambiance, we would definitely stay here again! The only issue we had was transportation over the river back to the hotel late at night, but it was a nice night, so we walked. Pittsburgh was a wonderful, clean, safe city in that area.

An ok Hotel in station square on the south side

Posted Jul 27, 2014
Cons: Fix what's broken and provide at least a breakfast Please!
I chose this hotel because of the location to the attractions I was taking my son to for his birthday. Booking, check-in, and the room where fine. The hotel is showing it's age however since I last stayed there. The pool and fitness room where good but the sauna & steam room where broken and not operational. I was surprised that there was no complementary breakfast what so ever. For the $218.00 I paid for 1 night I could have gotten a better hotel if I took the time to look. Will not stay here again!

Our location in the Station Square complex gives our guests access to many area attractions, dining and entertainment establishments as well as the river and all of its beauty within footsteps. Currently our hotel is in the process of a $15 million renovation in which all guest rooms will be refurbished as well as other areas of the hotel, so we will no longer be showing our age. Please accept our apology for any amenities that were not in service at the time of your stay. We do hope that you will allow us the opportunity to serve you again in the future so that we may have the chance to share our updated hotel and exceed all of your expectations at that time. Thank you for your feedback, we will share your comments with our team.

Very noicy train tracks 10 feet from hotel. Ran all night. No continental breakfast but there should have been with the cost of the room.

We think the Sheraton Pittsburgh Hotel at Station Square is in a great location too. During our current renovation noise abatement measures are being taken to help with the noise of the trains. Several different rooms are available at our hotel as well as different packages some which do include breakfast. Thank you for your feedback.

Restructure

Posted Jul 6, 2014
Hotel older look on floor, musty smell. Room had Hal a bottle used mouth wash in it. The other couple we were with stated there was a dirty used wash cloth left in their room. At breakfast buffet which is not included with 260 dollar a night room, staff seemed frazzle trying to wait on and keep buffet full. Location is nice being on river and walking distance to incline and T rail .
