“A nice break from the city!”

Whenever I have business in Pittsburgh I stay in this hotel for the quiet locale and unique architecture and history. It gives one the sense of going back in time when things were slower and less hectic. It's a nice break from the hustle and bustle of the city. The only downside over which the hotel owners have no control is the area where the hotel is physically located. Although it's very quiet, I wouldn't dare take a stroll around the neighborhood after dark (or perhaps even during the daytime!) I get there, head straight in, and remain there for the night. They do have a lovely courtyard however which is a great place to relax with a glass of wine and a fine cigar!

“Great hotel!”

The Priory is one of the most reasonably priced hotels in the close proximity to downtown. The room we had was top notch and very clean. The only downside is that it's small (only around 30 rooms, I think) and tucked away in a corner just off East Ohio St. But they serve a great German-style breakfast and are close to the Penn Brewery, which is an excellent German micro-brewery on the north shore.

“I'd return.”

It has a very cool atmosphere and a really interesting history. Ate at Max's, a German restaurant within walking distance, recommended by the staff and if was delightful. Would definatly return when visiting my son at Pitt. Outside fountain area very peaceful.

What a charming surprise. Lovely rooms, friendly staff, easy parking, good fitness room, great breakfast. I'll stay there again next time I'm in Pittsburgh.

“This is a getaway for young and old alike.”

This is a very unique, quiet European style hotel with unpretentious elegance. You will enjoy an excellent complimentary breakfast with fresh fruit, pastries, cheese and meats. We will definitely stay here the next time we visit Pittsburgh. The accommodations were far better than any major chain hotel.

“Great Stay”

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Priory. The only negative was the size of the room and the size of the bathroom; however, that was not totally unexpected in a small boutique hotel. The staff went out of their way to be helpful, the room was immaculate, and the continental breakfast exceeded our expectations. We very much enjoyed reading about the history of the hotel also. Should our plans include another stay in Pittsburgh, we will return to the Priory.

“Great location, friendly staff, comfortable rooms”

I greatly enjoyed my stay at the Priory. The staff was very friendly and will to store my bags as I left for an interview. The bed was comfortable and the interior architecture is beautiful.

“I Love This Place”

I loved this place. I went to a baseball game in Pittsburgh, and this hotel was about a 10 walk from the ballpark. They charged no parking fee, and let me keep my car in their lot so I wouldn't have to pay fees anywhere else. The staff was awesome. If I'm every in Pittsburgh again, I'm booking a room here.
