Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Had an issue with the tv that was addressed within 10 minutes. Bathroom a bit small but very modern.

Wyndham Downtown Pittsburgh

Posted Mar 14, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: On-property or near-property parking is needed.
Location: Driving downtown Pittsburgh is traditionally awful but the Wyndham is on the point, with easy access to the highway and airport.
Renovated hotel but faucet leaked, shower leaked, bathroom door was too narrow and parking was terrible.

Hotel was very clean and in a great location to explore downtown. Staff didn't go out of their way to impress, but they were fast in getting us in and out. Would definitely stay here again.

Room was surprisingly small.

Posted Feb 16, 2015
Pros: easy to get around
dinner 1st night at the hotel was a bit disappointing, my daughter and I joined a table of friends who had just gotten their food, the server didn't come back to get our order for another 20 minutes after we asked for a minute to look at the menu, then, 30 minutes later, the server asked if he could close out our checks because they were "closing" but we had not even gotten our food yet.

Valentines Day with Dance Moms and Daughters!! :(

Posted Feb 16, 2015
Pros: The view overlooking the rivers and stadium.
Cons: Keep Dance Moms and girls, baseball tournaments, fur conventions or whatever might be happening at the hotel confined to separate floors from others.
Location: If you have time and the season there are a lot of things to do. Hockey, Football and Baseball games, rivers casino, restaurants, night clubs & shows.
Dance Moms and Daughters everywhere. Must have been a competition and wasn't told about it. Wanted a romantic get away but didn't get it. Got inside our room and noticed animal hair on the black bed sash. I should have been offered a room that didn't allow any pets. I am a non smoker and I got a room that had not been smoked in, same goes with the pets. What if I was allergic to pet dander? Went to have a quiet dinner and again dance moms and girls everywhere, chatty, noisy and loud. Later we went to go relax at the pool and spa and girls everywhere!! running, screaming, yelling, and splashing. Wife decided to take a bath instead, but no tub in the room just a shower. Dance girls got back around 11:00 running screaming down the halls, doors slamming until about midnight. I know girls will be girls and everyone there is a paying customer, so it is what it is. Regardless, we made the best of it. The Champagne was nice, the view was beautiful.

Pros: The location is perfect when you have things to do in downtown Pittsburgh.
Cons: Just a little less in the rooms - too crowded.
Location: We were there for a concert at Consol Energy Center. Very close to the cultural district, as well as PNC Park (baseball) and Heinz Field (football).
We had other obligations in town and were not in the room very long. It was comfortable. However, I felt that it was just a little crowded. There was a lot of furniture in a small space.
