“Great downtown stay!”
Great location, nice hotel, friendly staff
“Ok hotel”
They need more parking for the valet.
“Great location for market square or steelers game”
thought the staff was very nice. Room was clean comfortable with great view of the point and Heinz Field. Would stay again next time we are in town.
“Pittsburgh Trip”
I am from western PA.Have been to PBGH many times. My hubby & I wanted a nice get away.Valet parking was nice. Our key wouldn't work when we went to our room-waited 10 minutes to get in,heard 2x why they couldn't let us in,we had to take key ourselves to have fixed on the next trip out.ID each time.Small room, nice shower, nice restaurant.Desk people not real friendly, not usual for PBGH people. Good time seeing sights.
“It was nice”
I've never stayed downtown Pittsburgh before. I usually stay with relatives, but this time I just wanted to do something different while traveling with my girlfriend. It's very easy to get on and off the freeways to go in any direction. It's also mostly walking distance to go somewhere to eat or see something interesting. It's location is excellent. It's also about a 20-25 minute drive from Pitt Intl. airport - no traffic. I could stay there again, but I'm thinking about staying somewhere else next time just to get some exposure of different hotels to experiment on other places to stay just for a comparison. I have done alot of international and domestic traveling and I stay anywhere from nice places to very nice and expensive places.
“lightup night”
the tub was dirty, and I called the hotel for 2 days about an charge on my bill and it took about 6 phone calls to get a reply., but to really judge the hotel I couldn't do it since I was only ther for about 10 hours.
“good hotel near downtown”
the hotel overall is really good especially the location near downtown with good view to the rive.
“good location/would stay again”
8 to 15 for cab to southside bars Dwntwn dead on the weekends Close to convention center
“Not impressed”
People were nice enough, but he hotel has a small and worn out feel to it. Its also very difficult to get cab. The one to the airport was good, and early, but the day to day stuff was impossible. Since the cab situation seem to be a downtown problem, next time I will stay at the Marriot Courtyard, Westin or Omni, much closer to the convention center. Also the free wifi was pretty terrible. It cut on and off and was very low speed. My tethered cell phone was more reliable and I was only on the 4th floor! Elevators were painfully slow as well. The room was fine, the bed really good. I was disappointed with the water pressure. There was plenty when you first turn it on, the showered head must have really tight choke on it.
“A good expedia price.”
Overall a very good but not great experience. Very good staff at check-in. But no free coffee in the morning. I consider that pretty much standard anymore. Shower was powerful. Loved that.
