Very Nice Hotel Close To The Action Downtown

Pros: Great Location, Location, Location!
Location: Great location. Right across from scenic Point Park (where the three Three Rivers meet), right next to Market Square (fabulous restaurants and shops).
Wife and I were there over the 4th of July weekend. The Holiday regatta was right out our window at Point Park, where Pittsburgh's three rivers meet. Birds eye view for the City's premier fireworks display too. Great location and great hotel/valet staff. We'll stay there again next visit to the Burgh.

Worst hotel experience of my life!

Cons: Will never stay at a Wyndham again.
I travel a lot and stay in a variety of hotels. This was by far the worst hotel experience I have ever had. I went to Pittsburgh with my boyfriend on Thursday to celebrate his birthday weekend. We checked in late as we had to drive in after work. Valet was full so the attendant told us where to park and said we would be fine there for the weekend. When we got to our room it smelled like mildew. It was 4am and the hotel was sold out so we thought we could just deal with it as we wouldn't be spending much time in there anyway. Every time we walked in our room it smelled and was full of moisture...paper was damp, etc, but we dealt with it. I got a call to my room Sunday morning that I needed to move my car or they were going to tow it. I went to move my car and found a parking ticket for $97. I spoke to the front desk before leaving as I felt this was the hotels responsibility because I parked where I was told. I was assured someone would call me the next day. I never received a call so I called on Wednesday and was told the manager was off property but would be sure to call me the following Monday. Sill no call. So I continued to call daily and leave messages and voicemails until finally reaching someone almost two weeks after we initially checked in. The man on the phone was beyond rude. He told me that I was lying and that he couldn't do anything to help me. After a very long, conversation where I was belittled I was told I would receive a refund from Expedia.

Nice location.

Pros: Location.
Cons: The food service was terrible. Despite virtually no one in the restaurant we were told that dinner seating would take 45 minutes. "Too busy."
Location: PNC Park is right over the Clemente Bridge.
We went to 3 Pirates games and this hotel is in a fine location to walk to the park. The room was fine. However, the restaurant was disgraceful. On July 4th we went to the game and came back at 8.30 to have dinner before the fireworks. There was virtually no one seated in the dining room and yet we and two other couples were told that they could not seat anyone for 45 minutes because they were "too busy." We then went to the bar to have dinner and the bartender told us they were not serving food. How can a hotel that charges $250 per night not offer its customers dinner ? I MIGHT go back there to stay, but I would never try to eat there again.

Small room but elegant touches. Slow valet parking. View from pool room was cool. Great location.

Close to PNC Bank Park

Pros: It was very close to PNC Bank Park, and close to transportation
Cons: The hotel should have a 4 draw dresser, not just a closet
Location: Close to PNC Bank park and Heinz field, a lot of shopping areas and restaurants.
This a very large hotel, over 20 floors, I was surprised how quick the elevator came. I was also surprised at how many hotel staff members to help you with your luggage. I've stayed in many big hotels and never experienced that many staff members. The food is great and close to transportation.

While the location is excellent, amenities and room comfort adequate, the walls are paper thin. An "active" couple kept me awake several times during the night. Nice brunch the next morning.

Great location

Pros: Its location and the river views.
Cons: Mattresses were a little lumpy
Location: Restaurants, bars, parks, sports venues all within walking distance.
Great location. Within walking distance to most downtown attractions.
