Place Garibaldi hotels in Nice, France

Recommended: My husband and I stayed at Hotel Villa La Tour for one night in late September. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, and the room was very nice. We were surprised to find air conditioning and a very modern bathroom. Great location in the old part of the city. We would definitely stay here again. See all reviews for this hotel

Recommended: We had the hardest time finding a place to sleep in Nice. Hotels are either booked solid all the time or way over priced for the condition they looked to be in. My wife and i booked this hotel on a hope and a prayer as the reviews were less than stellar. We were pleasantly surprised. Although the guy at the front desk was a douche, the rest of the staff were friendly enough. Rooms are small and basic but clean. Street noise can be a problem if you're a light sleeper. Its only a five minute walk to the Old City, another ten min. to the water front and about a 30 min. hike from the station. So location wise, it worked great for us. There is an internet cafe two doors down and a grocery store one block further. We had a mini kitchen in our room so we bought groceries. I'd book it again if i was ever to go back. Recommended: The location of the hotel is good, not in the old center of Nice but walking distance to all nice restaurants and center. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pictures of the hotel on the internet and the reality of our room did not match (we stayed in a superior room), which was a dissapointment, the rooms need a renovation (our room at least) and could be arranged to be more comfortable given the price paid. Recommended: Although it's not on the water it is in a perfect central location on Plaza Massenna just a few blocks away from the sea. You can walk just about anywhere from there. Recommended: Best thing about the Hotel is the location. You can walk everywhere. Very good Restaurants within walking distance. The old town, next door.
