Clean, plenty of space in rooms. Very dated TV and bathroom and they advertised free breakfast but it was just a box of Danishes.

Mediocre room services. The evening attendant was rude. Front office didn't open until 7:30 am. So had to wait for coffee, which was unsat!! So much for continental breakfast. No worries, will not stay there again!!

Good location close to heart of town, quiet, clean

Posted Oct 24, 2013
Pros: Very clean room with an excellent, confortable mattress, nice furniture, quiet day and night, shady view.
Cons: All was okay.
Location: This is a former gold mining town with an excellent museum, old gold mine, several original buildings from back in the day of the California gold rush.
Friendly, helpful staff, we went to Placerville to attend one of their many events that they hold year around...plenty of restaurants.

Not a hotel I'd expect to see on Expedia.

The room was old and shabby. Paint was peeling in the bathroom, the shower was missing its bars, the luggage holder was broken.

Overpriced

Very modest accommodations for the price. At least it was quiet and convenient for my trip.

Convenient to Historic Placerville.

Pros: It was easy to get in and out of, and it was close to places that stayed open to odd hours to accommodate travelers.
Cons: The breakfast needed a lot of help. Sweetrolls from Costco and odd-tasting coffee . . . I think I'd go out next time.
Location: The historical sites are fabulous. The craft fare was interesting, but parking left a lot to be desired.
I'm not quite sure why the site said there were only four rooms left when I booked. The place was virtually empty. It was a good place to sleep (The matress was a bit hard.) and close to restaurants that stayed open for those of us who arrive places at odd hours. Great collection of brochures of things to do. The breakfast left a lot to be desired, and the office was quite cramped. I could have used a plastic bag for dirty clothes. TV channel selection was good, though. Check out procedure was a bit confusing. Better than many places I've stayed, though.
