“Would stay again”

So first, the guy working the front desk was so polite and helpful! He switched us to a room that was on the backside of the hotel so we wouldn't have to deal with all of the hwy noise. The room was clean, smelled nice, nothing was broken, etc. I LOVED the shower. Good water pressure and a nice roomy shower. The breakfast was ok, but really, it's free. We got waffles, bacon, eggs, muffins, etc. The only thing I didn't like about it was that the beds were like laying on a board. I have an ultra plush mattress at home so I'm pretty picky though. Overall, we would stay there again.

Area recommendations

Go visit downtown Auburn! Cute shops and great restaurants.

“Only negative is the highway noise.”

We liked everything about the hotel but had to get used to the highway noise which went on most of the night. The problem was the noise came through the air conditioner/heater vent. After the 1st night, we were used to it and slept very well. Hotel personnel were very friendly.

“There are better places to stay in Auburn”

The room was smaller than most other hotels where we have stayed with a similar configuration with a single King bed. The sheets were scratchy, but otherwise the bed was comfortable. The room also had an odd layout - you immediately step into the bathroom vanity area when you come in the door, and you walk through it to get to the main area. The hotel is very close to the highway, and our room was very noisy even though neither the window or door faced the street (and traffic on I-80 is heavy all night). We were told when we checked in that breakfast was provided in the morning starting at 6:30 a.m. but at 8:00 a.m. there was nothing other than coffee set out for self-service, and no sign that anything else would be served. There is a Starbuck's just down the street, which is where we intended to go anyway. There are better places to stay in Auburn. But this place was cheap and fairly clean.

“CARD KEYS ALLOW ACCESS TO ALL ROOMS !!!!!!!! :(”

In the morning my wife went to get some coffee. When returning to the room she didn't take notice of our room number and used the card key to inadvertently gain access to two other rooms. Her card key opened two other guest rooms. The people in those other rooms were not happy to say the least. What does this mean? It means that THE CARD KEYS ALLOW YOU TO GAIN ACCESS TO ALL ROOMS! Bad news!

“comfortable”

The Motel was close to the exit, good area, able to access other areas easy. The beds were a little soft, but able to get comfortable.

“Very noisy”

The room was facing the freeway, the noise from the traffic was awful. The AC was so loud - we had to turn it off, but the room got very hot, the worst sleep night ever. Management did not cooperate at all to move as to another room.

“always satisfied”

i stay at this hotel 3 to 4 times a year visiting relatives in the area and am rarely dissapointed.service is outstanding with the same mgn crew over the years.rooms are well equiped for a comfterble stay.breakfast is always improving and now includes homemade waffles,bacon,and hard boiled eggs.will stay again.
