No Room At The Inn

Posted Jul 21, 2014
Pros: Not much to say when you've prepaid for a room they wouldn't honor.
Cons: The lighting in the parking lot is substandard and at 10:30 it was a long dark walk up to the building. No shuttle service back to my car.
I booked a prepaid, nonrefundable room with two queens for 7/19. Arrived at 10:30 pm and they didn't have a room. because housekeeping was backed up (at 10:30 PM!) I was shuttled to a Holiday Inn Express, a handicapped room with one double bed reminiscent of my father's hospice room, right beside the elevator with a bell that rang all night. The thermostat was blinking at 88 degrees and came on and went off at will. There wasn't an ice machine or vending machine anywhere to be found. Saturday night they said they'd comp my room but "they had trouble swiping my card" and told me to come by Sunday morning. Sunday morning I was told Saturday night's agent had to do the refund but that he wasn't in for the day yet. I had to fill out a form with my address, phone # and credit card #. They promised he'd call as soon as he did the refund on Sunday. No call. No call Monday. When I said the visit had been disappointing, Sunday's agent said nights like those are disappointment for him, also. REALLY???

Very nice. Convenient location.

Posted Jul 14, 2014
Pros: Very comfortable room.
Location: The location was great. We were able to get to most areas in 5-15 minutes. Princeton University area was great!
My husband and I stayed at the Crowne Plaza (Princeton) while our son was at soccer camp. It was clean, the staff was very helpful and friendly. We were able to visit the local sites within minutes. Great shopping and restaurants close by as well. We will definitely stay at the Crowne again!

Great hotel for a very competitive price

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Cons: Not sure if this can be improved, but the parking lot is just a little bit far, especially when the hotel was busy.
The hotel is relatively new, and the room is clean and comfortable.

Hidden Treasure

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: Everything.... The activities and amenities. Not too far from the park- Recommended coworkers, firends and family to this location.
Cons: Staff should be more welcoming. Check Pool area more often to ensure that towels are stocked.
Location: This hotel has free Wi Fi, and a lot to do from the pool and hot tub to basketball, billiards, fitness center, lounge, onsite restaraunt and more.
This hotel has many activities and could be considered a resort for the activities they have onsite. My husband dubbed it his home away from home. We will defintely return to this location. This hotel has free Wi Fi, and a lot to do from the pool and hot tub to basketball, billiards, fitness center, lounge, onsite restaraunt and so much more... there are endless things to do. This hotel is less than 25 minutes from Six Flags Great America/Hurricaine Harbor. The staff was courteous but could be more inviting. Their reluctance to seem cheerful was not a deterrence for my husband and I (although I am used to hotel staff being very hospitable), but can be for some people. More hospitality can seal the deal for this hidden treasure. **Be sure to check out the Asian restaraunt that is located around the corner from the hotel. It was the best and I do mean the best Asian food I have tasted in a while. You have your choice of Chinese, Japanese and Thai food. Everything was immaculate and the staff there was phenomenal. East Asian Fusion is the name. We also visited the Chili's restaurant while there located not too far from the hotel and the food was excellent as well.

Nice hotel close to Princeton

Posted Jul 1, 2014
Pros: clean, pleasant stay
Cons: Recycling needed. Prompt service to phone inquiries needed.
Would stay again, but had to go to front desk to get extra towel and to find out answer to question I had. Staff did not respond quickly enough. Hotel also needs to have recycling. If you say you care about the environment and want to save on washing towels unnecessarily, you should also provide recycling bins.
