Another great holiday
This was our 6th trip here, so obviously there is a lot to love. Three times as a couple, this was 3rd with two younger generations. Staff are lovely - although there is a risk of wine recommendations becoming a sales pitch. There are lots more hotel-organised trips available than before. This can provide comfort and confidence to new visitors but you can save money if you choose to arrange them yourself. Pool area is beautifully kept and clean. There are not a huge number of sun beds - most people head to the very close beach, so pool never feels overcrowded. Baby pool and play area is good, and board games etc inside if you want them. Endless easy-listening cover version music was a bit distracting - would happily have more Greek background music on low volume. Great music night with live musicians and dancing. Plentiful food in restaurant but a risk of it being too easy to dine here every night - visit the local restaurants at least once for more local atmosphere.

A great hotel choice in Plakios. Staff are friendly and helpful, rooms are clean and comfortable and the included breakfast and dinner buffets are amazing. Parking is tight on site and you can easily walk to the sea, shops and resturants.

Best hotel in Plakias
Everything was great. The food was delicious and different each day. Customer service was amazing and client-focused. The only small downside (only a downside if you care about this) is the size of the pool, which wasn't too big.

Nice hotel. But everything inside the room seems to be very old. Couldn’t sleep with ac because it worked too loud. They give you a key not as a plastic card but a metal one with a big thing on it. Breakfast is ok. Location is ok. Close to the beach. Many restaurants and supermarkets around.

Excellent public areas, staff good, room poor
The staff warmed during our stay at this hotel. Very high standard public areas both inside and out. The rooms were adequate but a little basic and our room had a tiny shower/bathroom area. Gardens and pool were exceptionally well maintained and the virus precautions were excellent.

Stay here!!
Amazing place. Excellent staff. Excellent food at the restaurant. Truly enforcing COVID-19 policies. All staff wear masks. They have a real plan for social distancing and making sure there is a safe traffic flow through the restaurant, also keeping a maximum number of guest in the buffet at any one time. By the way, the staff serves the food at the buffet. The guests are precluded from touching the food. It is a very safe place and I never felt concerned like I have at other hotels on Crete. The room was very comforts with extremely comfortable beds and pillows. The swimming pool is very clean. Several lounge chairs to choose from. Beach/pool towels are provided. I would definitely stay here again. No question!

we had booked 3 night at this hotel , when we arrived 2 oclock we were told our room was,nt ready and that we would have to move to a different room the next day , we wer,nt happy about it but when we finaly got to the room it was good , a big room with sofa bed and seperate bedroom , well equipt kitchen . we left our bag,s packed the next morn and went off for the day , when we gotback we were given a key to new room , it was terrible very small with no kitchen or even a kettle , the shower was so small you could only use it sideways , we were very dissapointed , and complained , the staff were not at all helpful and said there was nothing they could do as we were only a couple and douple rooms don,t have kitchens only family rooms ,,i find this very strange as couples liketo make a cuppa when they want as well as families , we got fed up of arguing as we were getting no where so,put up with it , we have always gone self catering but thought this year we would have a treat in a good hotel , well if thats what you get i won,t bother again .

Top Hotel in Plakias
A nice hotel but the friendly staff, excellent location, good public facilities, cleanliness and overall good feel of the place are diminished by the bathroom, which even by Greek standards is inadequate. Having said that, we have stayed there 3 times because it is probably the best of what Plakias has to offer.

nice hotel but....
The hotel is lovely and the staff were friendly. I was put in a separate section across a car park where they have about 6 rooms. The furniture, bedding etc is all substandard to the main hotel. I spoke to the management about this who assured me it was quality, however, upon seeing the main hotel rooms, this wasn't the case.

This was our first visit to Plakias and we selected the Alianthos Garden Hotel after doing a lot of internet research. We were delighted with everything about the hotel and definately chose the best hotel in the area in this price bracket. Expedia's description is spot on. We didn't have dinner so can only comment on the breakfast food. This was adequate and the waiters were always topping up the buffet so everything fresh. The pool seemed a bit smaller than pictures might suggest and sun beds a little cramped - this may be the only disappointment for avid pool lovers but we are beach people, so no problem.

Ich war 10 Tage im Alianthos Garden. Besonders beeindruckend hat mich die Herzlichkeit und Freundlichkeit aller Mitarbeiter. So habe ich es noch in keinem anderen Hotel erlebt. Es fing an mit einer herzlichen Begrüßung. Am nächsten Morgen hatte ich eine persönliche Urlaubsberaterin. Alle Kellner waren sehr aufmerksam und erfüllen alle Wünsche. Mein kleines Zimmer war zweckmäßig eingerichtet, auch an das kleine Bad gewöhnte ich mich schnell. Alles war sehr sauber. Die Betten waren sehr bequem und es gab eine Auswahl an Kopfkissen. Sowohl das Frühstück als auch das Dinner lockte mit allenmöglichen Leckereien in Buffetform. Es gibt eine griechische Küche. Super gut! Gerne komme ich mal wieder.

Il s’agit d’un très bon établissement qui mériterait 4 étoiles si les douches étaient mieux conçues. Gros point positif : la nourriture. Il y a un vrai chef cuisinier. Souvent la restauration collective des hôtels est médiocre. Ici, elle est excellente. Bons produits choisis, véritable cuisine. L’hôtel est très propre. Le personnel est bien formé, très soigneux, très attentif et proactif. L’espace enfants en bas âge de la piscine est bien. La clientèle est familiale et discrète (pas de pèquenauds avec musique bruyante sur transat à vos côtés). Autre point positif : les espaces verts bien entretenus et une conception de l’hôtel ergonomique et rendant agréable ce havre de paix.

Tout était parfait le personnel au petit soin, l’hôtel très beau et très propre. Prix du bar correct. Petit déjeuner excellent et varié et très frais . Emplacement idéal pour visiter une bonne partie de l’île. Village agréable et joli . On y mange bien et pas cher . Le ménage fait tout les jours. Nous recommandons vivement

Jag hade en veckas semester runt på Kreta med min 19 årige dotter i juni 2015ss. Alianthos Garden war det bästa hotel vi bodde. Lugn och fin miljö, perfekt utsikt mot havet. Stranden ligger på andra sidan av gatan. God mat, trevlig personal. Rummet var fint och rent, hotellets inredning smakfull. Den bästa plats för att koppla av, bada och vandra!

Hotel ideale per un soggiorno a Plakias
Hotel perfetto per posizione (50 metri dalla spiaggia), per il personale molto gentile e disponibile e per gli ottimi servizi offerti (compresa una prima colazione molto ricca). Unico neo: una doccia in camera molto angusta, impossibile per persone appena appena più grandi del normale! Se non ci fosse questo problema, l'hotel meriterebbe 4 stelle.

Fint hotell, kjempebra service og frokost
Kjempefint uteområde med basseng og solstoler, samt utendørs hotellbar med gode drinker og hyggelig atmosfære. Fantastisk frokost. Gode senger, store hotellrom/leiligheter, men litt "kjølig" atmosfære med murvegger og fliser på gulvet. Bra trykk i dusjen, alltid nok varmtvann (hvilket ikke er en selvfølge i Hellas..). Ville ikke stusset på om hotellet hadde fire stjerner. Stranden like ved har deilig klart vann, og er finest mot øst. Kul strandbar ved volleyballnettet. Har du bil er stranden Schinaria ca 7km østover en liten perle. Plakias by har en del restauranter, maten er den samme over alt. Billig og ok. Vi kjørte innom nabolandsbyene litt opp i fjellsiden og spiste der noen dager, høydepunktet var taverna Mariou.

Hotel for de som ønsker litt ekstra .
Et av svært få hoteller i sydligere land som har gode senger. Her var det egen putemeny og ordentlige kvalitetssenger. Betjeningen var svært imøtekommende og ytte service utover det vanlige. Reiser gjerne dit igjen :-)

Hotel aliantos, vicino alla spiaggia e al centro
Hotel in una buona posizione per visitare le spiagge del sud (ovest) di Creta. Il posizionamento a 2 minuti dal piccolo centro di Plakias consente belle passeggiate serali senza problemi di traffico e parcheggio. Colazione a buffet molto abbondante e qualitativamente buona. Le stanze sono piccoline, migliorabili quanto ad arredamento e manutenzione generale, ma pulite. Il personale è molto cordiale. Non abbiamo usufruito della piscina perchè piccola e troppo affollata di ragazzini (e comunque col mare di Creta non ne abbiamo certo sentito la mancanza!). L'ascensore è un'attrazione, come la sala internet, dimora di piccoli viaggiatori virtuali refrattari alla luce (quindi sempre occupata) Non abbiamo provato la cucina.

Strålende hotell i en liten hyggelig by
Rent og pent. Langt høyere standard enn hva vi er vant meg i Hellas. Fint rom, men mange med utsikt andre veier enn til vannet. Veldig sentralt og kun 1 minutt og gå til sentrum og stranden.
