Not very safe during construction

Posted Aug 10, 2014
Pros: Location is convenient, pool area was clean and very quiet as no one else seemed to be around - guess most families are getting ready for backtoschool
The construction workers ignored the staff's frequent reminders that the security door was to remain closed and locked after dark. The door was propped open again and again after the hotel staff and boarders would close it. The construction updates were okay, but the tiles were not grouted properly. Hangers from the prior fixtures were covered over with wall paper but obviously stood out as shoddy repairs. The franchise should inspect what this remodeling crew thinks is acceptable work and either have it redone up to requirements or if contract allows penalize them for the cost of getting it done right.

Pleasant hotel

Posted Jul 26, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff, ice water available in the lobby at all times, fresh cookies and lemonade out in the evening, comfortable bed and pillows.
Cons: Larger breakfast space would decrease crowding. Needs cooler hallways and lobby.
Location: This hotel was only 10 minutes away from the university and historic downtown areas. Many restaurant options nearby.
Be aware that this hotel is currently under renovation. We were not personally impacted by the work or installation of curtains that occurred during our stay, but we passed rooms where people were laying on the bed with workers actively doing projects in the room. We were not bothered by noise early in the morning or into the evening due to the remodel. The lobby and hallway areas were terribly hot and the air conditioning seemed out of order or perhaps off due to the remodel, but thankfully, the room air conditioning worked great. The room was pleasant and the bed/pillows were extremely comfortable. The staff was very friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. We needed to change our reservation from a king bed to two queens, and this was done swiftly and without a change to the room charge. The breakfast was adequate, but in a small, tight place that made it a bit difficult to easily get the offerings. We would stay here again!

Good for a night or two

We requested a ground floor room when we made our reservation but we were given a second floor room. Other than that the room was clean and comfortable and the staff was very polite.

Nice hotel

Posted May 19, 2014
I Didn't get in until about 8 after a 13 hr day of driving. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Room was standard, nothing exceptional but definitely clean and in a safe area! Would stay again if I was passing through.
