Nice place lot's to do.

Posted Aug 27, 2014
Pros: It was easy to navigate, and close to other attractions in the area.
Cons: The queen bed is small it did not feel like it was a true queen bed.
Location: I am familiar with the area so I had no problem finding things to do.
I had a good experience no problems checking in or out.

Historic hotel in the foothills

Posted Aug 26, 2014
Pros: Pool, layout, remote location
Cons: a little more clean, hallways were never vacuumed while we were there.
Beautiful facility, amazing buffet, could use a little update and cleaning of the hallways but room was very nice, coffee was excellent.

Nice place to visit, think twice about staying.

Posted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Bathrooms need updated in out buildings.
Location: The hotel is near Mt. Airy Casino, 40 minutes to the many water falls and trails.
The area was great, the grounds beautiful and food good. However, the rooms need updating. If you stay in the main building you will benefit from the updated bathrooms with all new fixtures. If you stay in one of the out buildings you must deal with sinks from the 50's that lean, plugs you can't reach in the lighting above the mirror and the hotel not making sure the other guests children behalf. We had young children (4-6 years old) roaming the halls and grounds without their parents to all hours of the night (midnight and later). One guest actually hollered "PLEASE BE QUIET" at about 11:30 one evening, trying to get some peace and quiet. Again, the hotel and area are very nice, but updating the out buildings and having better security would be nice.

Nice hotel, out in the woods a bit

Posted Aug 23, 2014
Pros: Service staff was good, pool tables are fun.
Cons: Heat the outside pool, more in room amenities.
Location: Lots of things to do in the area, will keep you busy.
This place may be a little hard to find in the dark, I would recommend getting there while there's daylight. Checking in was fairly quick and easy. The room we had, 2 queen size beds, was very clean. Maid service kept it that way during our stay. The bathroom appeared recently renovated and the shower had very hot water. No fridge or coffee maker is a bit disappointing. The outside pool is chilly, but well kept. The indoor one is heavily chlorinated but warmer. Only ate at one on site place, the Lamplighter lounge. First meal it was empty, and the food was excellent. 2nd time it was crowded, and the food was not as good. Didn't use the golf course or the horseback riding onsite, which for most people are the main reasons to come here, I would think. Mostly used the room as a base to explore various local attractions. For that purpose it worked out well.

Nice hotel close to outdoors activities

Posted Aug 23, 2014
The hotel was very nice with pleasant staff. Breathtaking views of the mountains and close to hiking, biking and kayaking and has both indoor and outdoor pools. My only disappointment was the bedroom only had a bed and it wasn't very comfortable, which made the fact that there was no other place to sit in the room to watch t.v. or relax very annoying. The restaurant was over priced for the quality of the food, but I highly recommend the bar/lounge food...that was excellent.

Nice hotel

Posted Aug 19, 2014
It was a nice place to stay. There is a lot to do there. The staff was great. The food was good. The inn is not far from most attractions. I would stay there again. Only thing I would say is negative is the walls are paper thin where our room was. We were not in where the main part of the hotel was.

Disappointing

Posted Aug 19, 2014
Pros: The pool area was very nicely done.
Cons: The rooms need to be renovated and updated.
Location: The Inn is close to the outlet shops and several restaurants in the area.
The room at the Inn was extremely outdated and poorly maintained. The mismatched furniture looked like garage sale leftovers, the closet light used a frayed green string to turn on, the curtains were falling off the window, the door hinges were rusty and the paint was chipped, the TV was vintage with bad reception, the internet connection was weak at best. The check in process was very slow, but when I finally reached the front of the line, the young lady was very nice. Overall the experience was very disappointing. There may be very nice rooms at the Inn, but my room at Laurel Lodge are far from renovated or comfortable. It would have ranked as a one star in most systems.

nice area, great views.

Posted Aug 17, 2014
Cons: At the time the ice machine in our lodge was broken so we had to walk to main lodge to get ice. Fridges and micros needed in each room.
Location: Horseback riding, hiking in Bushkill falls and zip lining.
We would stay here again. Very nice area and great views from the hotel. Dont have to leave the premises if you dont want to. Food and drinks are a little pricey but everything tasted good. Outdoor pool cold due to weather and was a little dirty, we never complained because the kids really couldnt use it due to the temp. Glad they had an indoor pool for the kids.

Nice Resort at the Poconos

Posted Aug 17, 2014
Location: Went to Poconos ATV and had a great experience. All beginners and all came back in one piece and loved it.
We were only there for two days but we had a fun-filled time. 4 adults and 6 15 year olds found enough to do around the resort. Walked the two miles to the waterfall and had a great time at the water hole.
