“Unexpected elegance”

Wonderfully restored 1800's inn. Rooms are very nicely decorated and the hotel is in the heart of Milton, a quaint, beautiful, little Delaware Water Gap town. Restaurants, both the fine dining and more casual pub, offered excellent choices, which you would expect from a hotel originally founded by the head chef at Delmonico's. Room rates were very reasonable. Staff was more than accommodating. I'm in a wheelchair and their one fully handicapped accessible room was already taken, but in 48 hours they put in ramps and fixtures to make the room accessible. They also upgraded our room to one with a balcony overlooking their garden. This is the place to stay if you are visiting the "Gap" and want to treat yourself.
