Checked in a bit early and found room ready for my husband and I. Wonderful! Best part of the trip.. Gentlemen behind the desk had a wonderful personality and very kind, and explained the hotel and its amenities, didn’t feel rushed. Loved him!
The problem was, my husband and I wanted to take a weekend to relax and unwind in the country…seemed like a place that would be tranquil…there’s waterfalls, nature all around, seclusion from the rest of the town, etc.
Each night until 11:30pm-12am, there was loud conversations from the rooms beside us, banging from the room above and to top it off, groups of drunken people leaving the attached restaurant establishment “glass”. Car door slamming …
Beds are terrible, pillows are even worst… I requested extra pillows from the women at the front desk and I received an attitude.
After two days, I couldn’t wait for morning to pack up and leave. Felt like I was back in my college dorm, and even there I had a better mattress…
All I know is that “settlers inn” is a little further up the road, and have stayed there before… should have stayed there for the same price.
This hotel was a disappointment…. If you are looking for a place to spend some R&R… not the spot!
