I had a wonderful time at Mount Airy hotel and casino. I just wish they included a place to have breakfast. I would definitely go back again.

Nice comfortable stay

Place was very nice and clean. The casino expectedly smoky but the smell of smoke traveled to the rooms as well. We were charged an unknown $50 fee in which we called to dispute. The breakfast we had was fantastic. Overall good stay if you like the casino and a small getaway

Beautiful hotel, smoky casino

Posted Nov 20, 2014
Pros: rooms and lobby
Cons: smoking in casino
Location: outlets
As you drive up to the hotel, it's just gorgeous - sits on an open hillside and it looks like a huge lodge. The lobby is beautiful as is the rest of the hotels, even the hallways. The casino is not huge, and it is very smoky - 25% is supposed to be smoke free, but someone next to me at a smoke free machine was smoking any way. The casino wasn't that crowded, so I can't imagine how smoky it would be if it were crowded. Ate at Red steakhouse - good food and excellent service. Also ate breakfast at Guy Fiery's place, which was inexpensive and delicious. All in all a nice place, except for the smoking - should be 50/50 smoking and non-smoking.

Pros: Th room was fantastic and the pool was amazing!
Cons: Change it to a non-smoking casino
The room was amazing and the pool area was so beautiful. The only thing that we would change was to make the casino non-smoking. Our room was smoke-free tho :)

Pros: The staff was very accomodating. The room very nice and comfortable. The valet was quick when checking out. Casino was fun.
Cons: The restaurants
Location: Location was great. Didn't leave the hotel at all.
Everything was great except the restaurants closing at 8p.m. was to early. We ate at Guy Fieri's, that stayed open late but the service was very slow and they were not busy. I enjoyed my food, but my husband did not. We were served our salad and main course at the same time instead of the salad a few minutes earlier. We were given our bill without being asked if we wanted coffee or dessert. Had to go to a stand downstairs for that. Quite disappointed in choosing that restaurant.

Great Getaway!

Perfect place for a quick vacation for my husband and I. The staff were friendly. Our room was available before scheduled check in time! The room was clean the bed was soft and lots of pillows. I would suggest no smoking on the casino floor. And breakfast options at the buffet.

Disappointed

Posted Nov 14, 2014
Pros: The room was nice!
Cons: There could be more restaurant choices. Not much in the way for breakfast as far as I saw, unless you consider Starbucks for breakfast.
We wanted to get away for a few days to do a little gambling. Our biggest disappointment was that there was smoking in the casino! We are from N.Y. which is nonsmoking! When we walked into the casino the air was filled with smoke :( We asked if there was a nonsmoking area and they told us that nonsmoking was on the other end of the room by the the restaurants. The whole place is open to the smoke! We had planned to stay a 3 days but when we got up the next day we decided it was time to go. My husband felt lousy after spending 1 day in the casino. When I went down to check out early the girl at the desk, who by the way was very pleasant and helpful told us that there is a room on the 3rd floor which is all nonsmoking and it had several slot machines in that area. Had they told us the day before we would have stayed all 3 days. When we checked out the room charge was 374.51 for the first night...if we had stayed the 3 nights it would have been a little more than 700.00. That didn't make much sence to me but I went through expedia to make the reservation.

Gem in the PA

Posted Nov 11, 2014
Pros: New and modern. All the conviences of spa, casino, restaurants, shopping in one place.
Location: Great Outlet shopping is less than 5 miles away. Lots of antique shops. Fishing spots, Golf.
Stayed for a girls overnight. Spent the day at their Fabulous Spa, services were superb. Indoor/outdoor pool is magnifient and very chic. Dinner at Red Steakhouse was top notch. Casino is pretty large for PA. Hotel and hotel rooms are all brand new and tastefully done in Adirondack style. Room was very well insulated. We didn't hear anything outside or the elevators. Rooms are nicely decorated and bathrooms are modern and beautiful. Very pleasantly surprised by this hotel!! I would come back with friends, family or hubby. So much to do in the area. It will not disappoint even the picky traveler.
