We are sorry that this was your experience. We pride ourselves on customer service and this is not a typical response from a stay with us. We hope for the opportunity to welcome you back to experience our resort the way it should be experienced.

My stay was for the weekend. Beautiful fall scenery. Staff was good. Resort definitely for couples. Romantic & restfull. Food was average. Read previous reviews concerning extra packages. They were right on point. I will return.

Pocono Palace Resort Is Happiness Palace

Posted Oct 1, 2014
Pros: We liked the adults only environment. The Fantasy Apples 3-level suite displaying a kind of living in luxury. We liked the friendliness of the staff.
Cons: Replace big box TV in the upper room area with Flat TV. The small refrigerator does not fit the suite. Replace the bicycles with better ones.
Location: Pocono Palace Resort is off the road for your quiet vacation, but close to shopping areas - grocery, wine, restaurant, convenient stores, CVS, etc.
So we walked to the reception counter and we were met with greetings of welcome from a smiling face on the other side of the counter. He (Matthew) was nice, courteous and helpful. He expressed he was glad we chose to stay at the Pocono Palace Resort (PPR). Our check-in went well and in no time our keys were in our hands with again a greeting to enjoy our stay. We had stayed in the Fantasy Apples and our suite was finely made, clean and very beautiful. The round bed was firmly made and marked an expression of love. The Jacuzzi, the private swimming pool and the sauna were all functioning as expected. We were amazed at how quickly the staff responded when we requested they replaced a light bulb. In a short period of time driving from the reception desk to our room, someone was already at the door waiting. At PPR, there were many fun things to do both in door and out door activities that kept us engaged, laughing, and happy. They had good food both the breakfast and the dinner. The staff were friendly and seemed happy doing their job to make guests welcomed and comfortable. Our stay at Pocono Palace Resort was romantic and very refreshing. The shows also were wonderful. We sure did enjoy ourselves at PPR and shall return.

Very disappointed with the room condition!

Posted Sep 22, 2014
The Fairway Room: We were very disappointed with the room conditions! Dead spider on our bed, dirty windows, flies in the bathroom!!! the mirrors haven't seen windex since the 70s, we really enjoyed the 13" TV with a built in VCR player. The entire room needs a major overhaul! Sad state of affairs... think twice before booking.

NOT YOUR PERFECT PLACE, NOT LIKE IT WAS

Posted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: The daytime games and night shows.
Cons: The cleaning staff. We arrived to our room and it was filthy. The next day we had to call to get the room cleaned they came after 7 PM.
Location: Not interested, we paid for a resort and were not expecting to go outside. We bought so wine and snacks, but that was on the way in.
We were unaware that we had no food included. We found it on the itinerary later, but when you go to a resort, that you have been to many times, you don't expect to not eat. We are forever lovers and always had a meal plan included, by Caesar's Pocono Palace, but not by Expedia. We were so upset that we did not eat there and found a dinner. The ridiculous price of $15/pp for breakfast and $60/pp because, we did not have the package with the resort and went with Expedia. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

great staff, dated hotel....

Posted Sep 1, 2014
Pros: location, very peaceful, the staff always willing to help
Cons: the rooms, the furniture is dated, most hotels have white linen not flowery comforters. the hairs were not comfortable and were also dated.
Location: we loved the flea market, the outlet not far away. and the stores for small items were also close by
The hotel staff was excellent. The food was not that great, the rooms are very dated. the flowery comforters are no longer relevant. the water pressure in the shower is low, could be the dated/old shower head. No clock in the room. the chairs are also old, the carpet smelled molded, and was probably because every time we showered the floor outside the bathroom was wet, so their is a leak somewhere, and where there is a leak there is often a mold growth. the activities were nice, its very relaxing and that was the point of our weekend getaway. I will say i will no be back until it is renovated.

Pros: Many activities. Good food. Friendly staff. Clean room.
Cons: The only thing disappointing about the hotel was they got my reservation wrong. I reserved all-inclusive and they said i was room only. Expedia fixed.
Location: Very good.
Slight problem with reservation. Hector of the hotel staff was very helpful though.

Very nice relaxing getaway

Posted Aug 21, 2014
It was awesome, I would just recommend they used a different laundry detergent the towels were clean but had a weird smell. Also the pool in the suite needs a better ladder, there wasn't enough steps which caused difficulty getting out as the first step was very high up. They should maybe etch an additional step into the wall of the pool or just replace the ladders. It would definitely make it easier to get in and out. But besides that it was an amazing experience and I will recommend it to all my friends. There was a lot of great fun things to do and I will definitely go back.

Location: Bushkill falls is 3 to 4 miles north on 209 and the Marshalls creek flea market is just south.
Champagne room was very nice, but it could use a little updating inside and out. Watch out for the skunks if you walk around at night.
