Not as advertised

Posted Jun 20, 2014
Pros: On the main road for easy access.
Cons: A total renovation of the rooms, putting into each room a DVD player and a flat screen tv. Reopen the dining area.
Location: There was a flea market very close as well as a number of restaurants and a movie theaater.
The daily 'breakfast' was a real joke. They barely had any coffee, no juice, no biscuits, cereal but no milk, hard boiled eggs, a toaster but not much for bread to use in it, tiny pastries and that was it. They had a small pool, no whirlpool, towels had to be gotten from the office instead of having them in the rooms. The wi-fi was not very good, they told us no streaming video at all as that would crash the system. The pillows were so soft, they gave no support at all and there were only two in the room, no extras to be had. Bathroom was tiny, no room for more than one at a time, unless the other was in the shower. There were no DVD or VHS players in the room. Dining area was closed and used for storage for housekeeping.

I don't go by you get what you pay for because I've paid less for much, MUCH better. The carpets weren't vaccumed, the bathroom floor was filthy. I didn't even take a shower because it was so gross. Let's not even talk about the "complementary breakfast".... it was a joke.

Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything!
Location: Loation is near the skiing facility and restaurants
We had come from an exhausting day skiing. As we enter the room the smell of "old" room, dark spotts over the carpert and dirty. I had rented two rooms and both were the same. We had to drive back home for 2 1/2 hours due to unable to find another hotel near by. The front desk did not bother to offer another room or any suggestions.

very near to Shawnee ski. Room was great for the price. Breakfast was so-so, but to be expected for a motel.

decent hotel, decent price

It's not the nicest hotel in the area but for the price it was sufficient. My wife and I took a short vacation to bushkill, pa. The hotel w was less then five minutes from everything. Maintenance needs to step up their game a little bit but otherwise it was a nice place.

Nice stay

This hotel was nice. Not great, not terrible. A little pricey @ $99.I stayed in an inside room with two double beds. The room was spacious as w as the bathroom. My friends stayed in an outside room with one bed, and complained about how tiny the bathroom was-like very tiny. The bathroom fan was VERY loud, and the water pressure was a little week. But the rooms were clean and the staff was helpful and friendly. I would stay there again.

Should've Gone Camping.

Pros: The refrigerator worked well, and it also had a microwave.
Cons: The overall cleanliness, the customer service.
Location: We went to Bushkill Falls, and there were plenty of nearby resturaunts/attractions.
The room smelled so bad we went to a local CVS to get a bottle of Febreeze; there was black mold on the window blinds; some of the wallpaper was peeling and moldy; the heat in the bathroom didn't work; the shower stall was so small a mildly obese person could literally get wet-vacuum stuck in it; none of the on-site Coke machines worked; there was supposed to be a free continental breakfast, which there may have been, but we couldn't find it anywhere on the premisis; there were only two, very flat pillows, which prompted us to buy some of those as well; the bed just made us feel creepy and dirty, and we both had a very hard time falling asleep; and to top it off, after finally falling asleep at around 3:30 in the morning, we got a wake-up call at 4:50 am that we never even asked for, prompting us to pack up and leave hours before we had planned on.

Pros: Quiet, close to where we were going.
Cons: Better continental breakfast or coffee in the room.
Location: Perfect for going up the PA side of the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area.
Was fine. We really weren't there that long. Was quiet, room was clean & bathroom clean, so it worked perfect for what we wanted.
