"What a way to wake up!"
Fantastic location with an amazing view, nice sized room and a great hotel but the real winner was the staff, so friendly and helpful it really made the difference, great price for anywhere but especially good for where you are!

"OWB at Bora Bora"
Last min trip; booked it 2 weeks prior to departure so only this hotel in Bora Bora has OWB left. the OWB itself is so spacious and we got the one with a very nice view. However, I think the room should be more cleaned and need pesticide. Food are okay and staff are okay but if money isn't the issue, I'd suggest to book OWB hotels that are not on the main island. overall, it's a beautiful place.

"Incredible value"
My wife and I have done lots of traveling and have stayed in everything from an old Soviet barracks in Ukraine to resorts in Portugal to this place (we stayed in the overwater bungalow). I think that this hotel is the best deal in all of Bora Bora. It's secluded but not inconvenient, quiet but also right next to the coral garden which features the best snorkeling opportunities (period), has very friendly staff, a great restaurant, and on and on. Granted, the more expensive hotels like the St Regis or 4 Seasons might have larger bungalows, but other than that I don't know what you're getting by paying all that extra money. Bora Bora is very expensive, why not save some money for activities? We booked everything we did through the hotel with no problems. The Sofitel private island is linked to the Sofitel Marara so when we booked something we would just take a boat to the Marara and get picked up at their lobby. This is a great hotel!

"FABULOUS ACCOMMODATION, FABULOUS VIEWS"
We stayed in an overwater horizon bungalow. Room was spotless on our arrival and was cleaned meticulously each day. Food and beverages were great although quite expensive. Staff on the whole were pleasant and provided good service. Great recreational equipment for hotel guests use. Fantastic views from our private deck.

We had a wonderful time. Went for our 10 yr. wedding anniversary and we had an amazing time. The resort is beautiful and the staff was great. Water is breathtaking and our bungalow experience was a dream come true.

"Beautiful place on earth"
This place was amazing. It is going to be undergoing a major renovation which I can't wait to see. The rooms were still very nice and the water crystal clear. Not that great of food selection but plenty of things for even picky eaters. The food was way overpriced. The staff were all very friendly. We will be sure to visit bora bora again

"Truly amazing resort - on par with Bora Bora"
We stayed for 11 days and truly enjoyed the entire experience. The staff were amazing, friendly, knew our names and our favorite drinks every time we walked to the bars/restaurants. Check-in was easy and friendly. We were in Bungalow 9 which was amazing - we couldn't see any other huts from our bungalow or our deck. Sunrise huts are great because they get full sun on the deck from sunrise until about 4:30pm which is awesome! Some of the other units didn't have full sun all day. We have been to Bora Bora, which we loved, and this resort was just as good for much less $$. The restaurants were fantastic and the food excellent, and considering it is located on a very small island, the pricing was quite reasonable ($5 for beer, $11 for glass of wine, $15 for fruity drinks, most entrees are $30-$40. The gourmet restaurant is amazing (pricy, but great food inside with air conditioning). The Polynesian night dinner was amazing (we were lucky to be there for 2 of them). They offer a buffet of 40+ local dishes which were all amazing. This resort is great for couples. There were families there as well, but beyond kayaks, snorkeling and the pool there isn't much else for kids. I would recommend this resort for couples looking to unwind and relax. Plenty of great excursions though. The rooms were amazing, and much bigger than in the pictures. The decks are huge, again much bigger in person. We saw sting rays, lemon sharks, small octopus, and tons of fish.

"Fabulous location, very relaxing"
When we booked our stay on Bora Bora we looked for a place with snorkelling right there. We also wanted someplace that we could relax in our last few days in French Polynesia. That's exactly what we got. Blue Heaven Island is a small pension with only 5 rooms, or rather huts. The huts are not luxurious, are not air conditioned, but are adequately comfortable. There is no restaurant with choices; the host serves very good food, and does consult about the main dish, but serves the same meal to everyone. Once we got used to this (very different from North American hotels), we thoroughly enjoyed it. The host is a very interesting and well-travelled Frenchman with stimulating conversation. For three of our four nights we were the only guests, so it was like having our own private beach! The snorkelling was great, one or more other boat came into the area for snorkelling every day. We did a lot of reading and relaxing on the beach, and under the sun shelter on the jetty over the water.
