Not very cleanPosted Aug 22, 2012
Pros: The people that owned it were so nice and friendly
Cons: Not very clean
Location: It's location is perfect 2 minute walk to beach /boardwalk and 2 minute walk to MTV jersey shore house
The pictures of the motel online make the motel seem nicer and cleaner than it was. The motel was not very clean. The pool was a tiny 4 ft pool. The owners of the motel were So So nice but the motel was not very clean.

OK, but needs improvementsPosted Jul 16, 2012
Pros: new flat screen tv
Cons: the condition of the shower/tub small pool
Location: good location. easy to walk to everything. cvs and laundromat very close.
The pool is super small. The staff were friendly. The bathtub was disappointing. It felt as there was nothing underneath the tub. It wasn't solid. I thought it was going to fall through the floor. The tub had obviously been patched many times and then there was a crack in the floor of the tub. The bed was broken. It sagged at the left corner.

basic motel, good locationPosted Jul 10, 2012
Pros: Favorite things were the number of beds and the location.
Cons: Least favorite things were TINY pool, and very basic room.
Very basic/minimal motel - no phone in room, no hair dryer, no coffee maker, etc. (although it did have a mini-fridge and microwave which was a plus). Some things were a little old and dingy looking but overall it was pretty clean. Our room had 3 beds and a pull out couch which was basically why we chose it because I was traveling with a group and the price was good. Location was great tho, walking distance to boardwalk/beach as well as many restaurants/bars and shops.

Nice HotelPosted Aug 19, 2011
This hotel was not bad at all. It is nice and close to the beach (just a block away) and the staff was so friendly and helpful. The room was your average room. It was clean and comfortable. I will definitely stay at this hotel again

Could have been worsePosted Jul 26, 2011
Sand on the floor, room remote did not work, nor did light in bed-room. There was sand on the floor. The room itself was pretty big and the staff was friendly. I am sure they would have replaced the remote or lightbulb, but we were only there for two nights and didn't bother. There was also no phone, iron or hair-dryer. Fun location.

"Not Impressed at all"Posted Jun 22, 2011
well, I have to say, I am not a snob when it comes to places and I did read a lot of good reviews, but this place was for a lack of better words, kind of a dump. The room was clearly marked non-smoking but it smelled of old cigerettes and every surface in the room has a burn mark from a layed cigarette on it. I took pictures. Oh, not to mention the pictures of the burn marks in the rug and the toe nail. I was just about skeeved out. It was old and bland. There were no curtains, just mini blinds and right on the outside of our window was the motel's lighted sign. So even when it was night and suppose to be dark the room was well lit up due to the lack of curtains and 5:00 am and the sun shining in. We almost left, but since it was my birthday and were only there for 2 days, we stayed. It also looked like possibily people lived there perminantly and the front desk girl had no idea about the wifi or beach passes. It just was not organized. It was close to the boardwalk and definately walking distance to that. But that was it's probably only positive. I hate to be that person and I've used Expedia as a reference for many many years, but I would say this place is not at all what I've read. I have to say this is the 2nd time the reviews did not live up to what I ended up in. I would not recommend this to anyone, it is not worth it at all. It was just really seedy and shady and will not go there ever again.

Convenient location, but very tired.Posted Jun 21, 2011
Place is small and kind of run down. Pool is more of a large bathtub. Room was spacious, with three queen beds, but it's a very low end facility. Weird shampoo packages and tiny soaps. Convenience store is, well, convenient, with some helpful items available, including sandwiches. Seaside Heights is not that nice a town, so maybe this is as good as it gets!!

Paying for location onlyPosted Jun 21, 2011
I wouldn't give the Palm Springs a star rating, they don't deserve one for anything but their proximity to the Boardwalk and beach (block and a half). For the price we paid, it did not come up to scratch. The room was musty and dank smelling and clearly never got aired (especially as the windows didn't open) so the first impression was not good. The room is stark - definitely no frills here - and whilst the sheets were obviously changed and the bathroom wiped down, cleanliness and uptake is not a priority for the proprietors. The beds were comfy enough though. The hotel has a list of rules (and prices attached for breaking them) as long as Pinocchio's nose and this only makes it seem like a joint for teens on a their Prom weekends. The staff who checked us in was pretty vacant but she did say she was filling in. Check in is 2pm check out 10am but they did let us leave our car in their carpark until we left at 2pm. Beach passes are included in the room cost but you have to leave a deposit. I would not stay here again - mainly due to the smell of the room and lack of general cleanliness. Seaside Height was SO much fun though, so stlll go, just find a place with better reviews.
