Room never cleaned while we were there.

We were always asking for linens as they were not replaced on a regular basis. Also there were three of us and we always had to ask for the third set. There was no hot water in the room, shower or sink. No clock in the room. This is obviously a party hotel as the noise level was high the entire weekend.

When I booked this place I was expecting much for the price but was really happy with everything. Great location, polite and helpful staff and adequate room

Spacious and close to the surf.

Roomy accomodations with fridge and microwave two blocks from the beach. Good for families and friends. THe hotel does not have a pool but the big rooms more than made up for this.

Stay somewhere else

Cheap place to stay, but very run down. The showers at the beach were cleaner and better kept.

Last Resort

Pros: location
Cons: the room
Location: across from beach and boardwalk
Has a kitchenette but no dishes or utennsils. The freezer didn't freeze but the refrigerator did. Holes in the comforters and the walls. The beds were horrible. The pocket in the middle was so bad you had to sleep on the very edge of either side. The sad part is that this was the room they moved me to after my first room. That one the stove door was on the floor and the freezer part of the mini fridge was frozen solid. The only good thing was that I was only there for a few hours and it was across the street from the beach and boardwalk. It is on my never again list.

Best Motel in Seaside Heights

Posted Aug 1, 2012
Pros: awesome location. clean beautiful rooms and property. they allow noise and parties. nice chair in the room. cool staff
Cons: the steps, and no washcloths
Location: couldn't be better. About a block to the beach and Steaks Unlimited. Less than 2 blocks from Karma and Bamboo
People that bash this hotel must not stay in Seaside that often. Yes it is old and shabby. BUT it is CLEAN. Something that you do not see very often in this party town. My friends and I were pleased with the condition of the room, and the size. It was adequately furnished, but they didn't give washcloths. On the first night we only got 1 towel. The second night we got a whole stack of towels since I tipped the maids, and it was sparkling clean. And they seem to be pretty chill about noise. The guy downstairs put my girls to shame with what seemed like an entire soundsystem beneath my floorboards at 1 am. They even allow the pool to be used all night. I liked the setup of balconies facing the ocean. right by the boardwalk, clubs and only a block from the famous Steaks Unlimited. Seriously, try a seaside Tony hoagie from there, esp after a night of partying. But back to the telly. Only thing I could complain about was the dangerous steps we had to climb to the third floor while drunk, which made it a pain to haul our luggage to and from the car. I even liked the sister property, the Glendale which is located directly behind the Surfside. We got to party with hot guys in one of their luxury suites, and the night manager even stopped by to chill.Next time I want to stay there if I can't get into the Surfside. One last thing-its a family owned small business, with a family doing the housekeeping as well. That made me feel good to know I supported an all American family motel.
