Disappointing Christmas night 25 December 2013

Arrived at 3:30 tired after 9 hour journey. Staff couldn't confirm if we paid in advance for stay even though we booked through Expedia and have no trouble in all our travels before. Finally checked in 2 hrs later after my husband surrendered his credit card!!! Christmas dinner terrible. Hot meal of roast lamb and chicken served cold and stale. All food,including dessert had distinct look of Christmas lunch leftover. Ask staff to reheat which they did but ate very reluctantly as who wants reheated stale food for Christmas Dinner! We were so disappointed that we changed hotels on return journey (30th) even though we had paid. Prepared to forfeit charge rather than go through that again Biggest disappointment is that we normally book at Protea Hotels as We expect a standard. Will not do so again

Pros: Friendly staff. Excellent environment for early morning walk
Cons: Directions to the place
Location: Struggled to get there
Nice hotel ideal for family and friends. Clean rooms and helpful staff. Good breakfast. Excellent for Highway rest slightly off the city. Locating the hotel from Polokwane was quite a challenge - Improve the signage
