Brilliant settingPosted Jun 3, 2013
Was the chef off on Monday? I don't know but the food was at best average, certainly not up to the standards of other Paradors e.g. Antequera, Carmona. Decor is tired but you can't beat the location. Go!

Gorgeous Hotel!Posted May 14, 2012 on Hotels.com
One of the most beautiful hotels I have been to, by virtue of being a former forteress and being sorrounded by scenic beaches. By the same token, the hotel is not very modern, so do not expect state of the art techonology. There is no WiFi in the rooms because the stone walls are too thick; so the hotel provides wired connection in each room. The biggest caveat, however, was the bed: the rooms are beautiful but the beds are small (individual size) and kind of uncomfortable (a thin mattres on a wooden frame). I should add that the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful.

Parador de BaionaPosted Jul 7, 2011 on Hotels.com
We spent three nights at the Parador de Baiona. The location of the hotel is magnificent and within walking distance of the town itself. The bedrooms were a little dated when compared to other hotels but the public areas, swimming pool, etc were comfortable and modern. The staff did their job but did not exude any enthusiasm. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would go back their again.
