Okay hotel to spend a night in port antonio.Posted Jan 4, 2015
Very average hotel. The room we got after we complained about the first room was much better, more spacious and airy. Very overpriced for the facility.

Food was the best partPosted Dec 29, 2014
Pros: We loved the food; their chef is very good.
Cons: They need more comfortable beds, for sure, and their advertised amenities and guest services should be provided, as advertised.
Location: The hotel is along the main road on the east side of Port Antonio, not far from the Folly Lighthouse and park.
We spent two nights at Tim Bamboo - Christmas Eve and Christmas Day - and chose it for the food. The meals we had were excellent, but the ordering process was confusing and time-consuming, ordering our menu selections at check-in, for both days. The room had a 32 inch flat panel TV, and we planned to watch old Christmas movies and relax in the quiet, away from the big city and work. What we found was that the cable boxes in the hotel were all gone, back to the service provider for repairs, and so there was no TV. We ordered dinner the first night to be brought to our room (remember it was done at check-in) and when we got to the room, there was only one chair, and a narrow computer table next to the bed - not really any place to eat, other than on the bed. We asked for a second chair, which they brought. The in-room free wifi had poor reception, and was difficult to get connected, trying several passwords from the front desk. The room was very clean, but the king-size bed was very uncomfortable. On Christmas Eve, the music and noise level outside was very high and continued until after 2AM, but to be fair, that was probably the case in most of Jamaica that night. We used our ear plugs.

prima uitvalbasis voor port antonio, geen luxePosted Oct 11, 2014
Pros: ligging en personeel en de kamer was goed.
Cons: het ontbijt!!
Location: locatie is prima, centraal gelegen.

Just dealt with itPosted Oct 4, 2014 on Hotels.com
Very accommodating with making dinner when we arrived at 8:30pm. Did not read request that where made. The television had 3 blurry channels on a 13 inch screen. Wanted a refrigerator and since we did not make that know before entering the room, the changes were not made. Requested when booked. And there was two other guests staying there at the time of arrival.

Very basic but does the trickPosted Aug 9, 2014 on Hotels.com
If you're looking for a sleeping room, this place works. The staff is nice and the included breakfast is great! If you're looking for nice accommodations or a fancy place this certainly is NOT it. It's very basic and smells stuffy.

Cleaner then many "business" hotels in us/ukPosted May 30, 2014
Pros: The staff are friendly and it was much cheaper than a villa. The car park is patrolled by a security guard.
Cons: Having hot water all the time!
Location: It's Jamaica! Beaches/cocktails etc Recommend the reach falls.
My room was clean spacious and had industrial air con. The bring your own minibar was a definite plus as well!

Comfortable StayPosted Feb 18, 2014
Pros: We had a buffet breakfast every morning.
Cons: We are content with our stay.
Location: You would be near the downtown area of Port Antonio. You can easily walk 5 to 10 minutes to the downtown area depending on your walking pace.
My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Tim Bamboo. We stayed in one of the premium rooms that had a flat TV and wireless access. The size of the room was reasonable if you will be venturing a lot outdoors. It is also comfortable to lounge in if it is a rainy day and you do not mind watching movies on TV or on your laptop/tablet. The staff was nice enough to sprinkle pink and red peddles on our bed when they knew we were on our honeymoon.
