This inn is on a beautiful stretch of beach.Posted Sep 14, 2013
Pros: The other guests were also friendly.
Our two night stay was enjoyable. We watched gorgeous sunsets while sitting on a second story deck. The manager is a good innkeeper; personable and helpful.

Close to NaturePosted Aug 30, 2013
The hotel is right on the beach among private houses. It was so peaceful walking on the beach all alone except for the turtle patrol watching the safety of the newly hatching baby turtles on the beach.

if you want to get away from it ALLPosted Aug 21, 2013
Pros: small & quiet
Cons: need a fan in the bath -
this sweet little place is for those who like the ultimate in laid back accommodations - 13 units, we had #5 which was literally 20 feet from the beach - unbelievable quiet and peace. A/C needed a more powerful window unit as the room faces south, and in August it was just bearable at night if you kept the blinds closed all day. I imagine in winter it would be fine. Being a nature lover, I cannot say enough about the sweet little place that makes you feel its 1965. Fridge/sink/microwave - stock up before you get to the key. 3 0r 4 restaurants open at the south end of the key (3 or 4 miles) even in off season August. Private beach that continues in front of high end homes, 3 and 4 mile walks daily and I never saw another soul in August. I counted over 330 turtle nests that had been marked by the turtle patrol while walking the beach. Never saw the staff unless you went to the office, where Carolyn was there if you needed anything. Laundry with comp soap, help yourself to your own towels or linens as there was not daily housekeeping service which was just fine with me. Can't say enough about this little gem for those who want to just hang!

Almost a private retreatPosted May 8, 2013
Pros: SEE ABOVE
Cons: More clothes hangers
Location: If you are there to relax - who cares? If you are not, go somewhere else.
Pearl Beach Inn is not what I consider an "INN". It is a well-appointed cottage-type accommodation right on the beach. No room service, but plenty of what you might need in the laundry room. The deck, with a few tables, chairs and umbrellas, is literally 'on the beach.' LOVED IT!!!!! Didn't need AC at night; just opened up the windows and fell asleep to the quietly lapping water. Sharks teeth are still abundant; a little patience and a long beach walk will likely find you a handful. Could have used a few more clothes hangers in our room; otherwise, perfect.

Superb location at a wonderful and lonesome beach. Lovely small hotel, perfect for families and couples who want to stay at a beach but far away from mass tourism.

Great GetawayPosted Mar 13, 2013
Relaxing beachfront property. Almost no one on the beach just steps from your room. Staff very friendly and accomadating. Plenty to do in the area or just sit on the beach.

Disappointment!Posted Feb 20, 2013
Pros: It is on the ocean.
Cons: The cost of the room. Way over priced for the service provided.
Location: The resort is located in a beautiful spot. A better well maintained and serviced resort would thrive here.
Paid way too much for what we got. No phone in room. The safe was locked in the room and we were told the staff was unable to unlock them. The ocean view deck would have been great but you have to overlook a large roof which took away from the beach area. We had a small plug in heater for the cool nights. No alarm clock or a clock of any kind in the room. The staff goes home at 6 pm but you are given a phone number to call in case of an emergency, but no phone in room to use. Also our room keys were easily demagnetized so if your key didn't work after 6pm we were told we would have to wait till morning. Wow!! Our tile floor was always damp...not sure if it was from a poor wash or just humidity. The bathroom was far from modern. Really needs an upgrade. If you want clean towels everyday you have to get them from the laundry room which is a separate building. We will not come back to this "resort".

Wonderful stayPosted Aug 18, 2012
Pros: The location. It was right on the gulf.
Location: Close to Eaglewood so it was easy to pick out a place for dinner.
We had such a great time. Very relaxing! The room was nice and very sufficent for our 2 day stay. Loved the fact that we had a private beach. The staff was very nice and helpful. Cannot wait to go back. We also saw a nest of baby turtles hatching! Once in a life time experience!
