Great Value!Posted Sep 24, 2014
Pros: Clean, modern rooms, waterfront view, balcony with bistro set, attached restaurant/bar (Hurricane Charlie's), walking distance to downtown
Cons: Only 1 ice machine in the entire building
Location: Walk to downtown Punta and Fisherman's Village in less than 5 minutes
I have to admit I was a bit skeptical on what to expect from a hotel offering a waterfront room for the price we paid, but I was extremely pleased with what I found on arrival. The hotel has just been completely renovated, rooms are very modern and clean, balcony with seating area on upper floor rooms and patio on main floor rooms. The hotel's location is perfect...walking distance to downtown Punta and Fisherman's Village. My favorite amenity was the attached restaurant & bar, Hurricane Charlie's. Guests from other hotels as well as locals pack this place for live entertainment nightly, and the food is top-notch. I've never had calamari that compared to this, and the prices were exceptional.

Brand new-Posted Sep 19, 2014
Pros: That it was so nicely redone
Location: Great food- Jacks on Marion, Peace River Seafood House down Rte 17, a lovely park just out the back door of the hotel.
The location was excellent, the rooms had been recently remodeled- new furniture, carpet, decor, baths, everything. The only disappointment was the "free breakfast". Not very good. Everything was pre made items- pre-made, frozen eggs, etc. If you are a healthy eater you won't find much here. Of course the room price was so reasonable it didn't matter much to me. Within just a few minutes were some great restaurants and bars.

The WorstPosted Sep 1, 2014
the first two rooms were so bad that we had to insist on a transfer to two others because the smell of the rooms was disgusting, the headboards for the beds were on the floor leaning on the wall next to the beds. The toilets didn't flush, the carpets in the halls were not nailed to the floor. The elevator only worked sporadically and I could go on and on. The replacement rooms were not a lot better but since they couldn't reimburse us since we booked through Expedia we accepted our lot and will not ever go back or book with expedia

Pros: The view and the beds, also the Tiki bar
Cons: The breakfast buffet
Location: Punta Gorda has a lot of great restaurants , bars and shopping all in walking distance from the hotel.

Nice LocationPosted Aug 4, 2014
We arrived very early (11AM) and we're checked in immediately. The young man at the front desk was extremely helpful in telling us about nearby attractions, entertainment, and places to eat.
