Location: Plenty of things to do within walking distance.
We found the staff pleasant and accomodating. The hotel is still going through some renovations but our room was updated and comfortable.

Unfortunate.....

Posted Jan 20, 2015
Pros: Location, location, location!
Cons: Upgrade the WiFi, make sure hot water is hot, bring back the breakfast.
We stayed at this hotel last year and loved it so much that we wanted to stay again this year. At check-in, we were told that our room was on the 5th floor but the elevator was broken and they were waiting for the repair service to come fix it. They offered to have their staff bring our luggage up for us, but it made me uneasy to check into a room so high up without elevator service given how we planned to be in and out of the room often. I asked for a different room and was told they had none available. We ended up having to pay an upgrade fee in order to check into a room that would suit our needs. We stayed for 3 nights and were never able to access their WiFi. We informed the front desk of the problem, but it was never remedied. When the maintenance man came to fix the hot water in the shower, he told us he had issues with the WiFi as well. This hotel used to have a breakfast in the lobby, but now you have to go to the restaurant and pay $10 per person. Love the location, but I don't think we will stay here again.

Great location, great staff, nice rooms

Posted Jan 18, 2015
Pros: Location, personal, room decor, waterfront pool and dock, Hurricane Charley's
Cons: Water temperature is shower
Location: Nice waterfront location and close to downtown restaurants, bars and shopping.
Front desk clerk was very accommodating. I had booked a cheaper room but asked for a balcony. Upon check in I was informed that only pool and water view rooms had balconies. I was given keys to all 3 types to choose which I wanted. The standard room felt small and confined to me. All of the rooms are quite small but nicely decorated and well appointed. The ability to step outside made the room seem more spacious. The only drawback to the accommodations was the lack of hot water. The shower was luke warm. Hurricane Charley's has great drinks, huge peel and eat shrimp and wonderful salads. I would return. Room is too small for more than 2 people unless the rooms with 2 queens are muck larger than a king room. All rooms have micro and fridge.

Easy to get to rooms clean. Good beds. Hallway had an odor. Like diesel. Otherwise it was fine. Associated restaurant was mediocre

Convenient room overlooking the river

Posted Jan 8, 2015
Pros: Convenient to downtown and walking-friendly area. Nice location on the river.
Cons: Overall fairly clean but had a musty odor. Smoke from room below us drifted from the balcony up.
Location: Ponce de Leon Park. Punta Gorda nice downtown with lots of great restaurants. We enoyed the Orange House...great selection of wine...jazz!
We stayed here over the holiday while visiting family. Love the location on the river and ease of access to Laishley and Gilchrist Parks and the convenience to local restaurants. Staff was very helpful and courteous!

Limited Options

Posted Jan 5, 2015
Pros: Bed was comfortable, room was quiet.
Cons: Breakfast was a disaster. watching people come and empty food into bags to take with them. I didn't like not having a bathtub to soak in after driving
We arrived early for a long trip and needed a room for 1 night, but nothing was available in the town we were planning to stay at so we did a quick online search and found this hotel.

Pros: Location for price.
Hotel is in a great location. Presently being remodeled. Our room was completed but window treatments needed repair.
