Beautiful ResortPosted Aug 5, 2014
We absolutely loved our stay and the resort was wonderful. The staff were exceptional and Port Douglas - Paradise! The only criticism I would make is the fact the there are no fly screens. I would've loved to open the sliding doors to let the lovely cool breezes into our room but too many mozzies came in! Although the air con and the fans are great, there is nothing like a cool breeze!

Short breakPosted Aug 3, 2014
Cons: More storage for bags and shelves for clothing.
Location: Location is ok. Recommend have car rental if you want to visit local attractions. Most are within an hour drive. Would stay at Palm Cove next time.
Hotel was fine. Room was clean. Places to store stuff was minimal in room and bathroom though, could do with some shelving or extra storage. Overall is a pleasant hotel with a unique dining experience.

Amazing!Posted May 29, 2014
My boyfriend and I stayed here for two nights and didn't want to leave! Staff were so helpful and friendly in every way and I would definitely recommend going to the bar (or pool bar) for a drink or two. Our 1 bedroom villa was clean and spacious with super comfy beds. Overall, the resort was one to remember. I will definitely be back!

Innovative and On TrendPosted Apr 28, 2014 on Hotels.com
My recent stay at QT was above my expectations. I went to Port Douglas for a girls weekend away. The moment we arrived we were greater by Charlie at reception who was friendly and very helpful with her local knowledge of the area and introduction to the hotel! The Day spa experience was heavenly! Naomi greeted us warmly and invited us to the relaxation room for tea before our treatments. The Beauty Therapists Rhi and Ellen were both very professional and friendly we felt spoilt to be there and the experience was well worth the money. The interior design of the day spa was also a treat from the lockers in the ladies change rooms to the cute handle details no design was left unthought of. The bar staff at both Estilo and the Pool Bar were also engaging and created a fun holiday atmosphere. Every cocktail we ordered did not disappoint! The Waiters within Bazaar Restaurant were also very friendly and gave a clear run down of the daily food on offer at the buffet. The Barista always gave us a very friendly greeting each morning at Breakfast and the Chefs would interact with you at night. The food its self was of a high standard with too many options we could not fit them all in. Overall our stay was very enjoyable for an Australian hotel there are some real quirky touches within the hotels design, signage and even the staffs uniforms which I have only seen on my European holidays in their hotels. It was certainly refreshing to experience these special touches within the hotel on our stay!

Friendly staff, comfortable roomsPosted Apr 26, 2014
We enjoyed our stay at QT Port Douglas. The staff are friendly, rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the bar / restaurant is very reasonably priced. There was only one hiccup with the cleaning staff, where they accidentally threw out our food in the cupboard. Staff were very apologetic and gave us a gift voucher to use at the restaurant to the value of the food that was disposed of. QT is in a great location - close to the beach and a short distance away from the busy town centre. We went into town most days - to buy a coffee and check out the markets. It only took 30 mins one-way and is a beautiful walk along the beach.

Great hotel, great locationPosted Jan 5, 2014
Pros: Pool bar was great and had great snack/lunch menu. They put on a fantastic bbq lunch on new years day. Great atmosphere
Cons: Extra bar staff at the pool during busy times
Location: 10 min walk to the beach and a 10 min drive in the shuttle bus into town $5. The walk into town is probably 30mins but is gorgeous along the beach
Really enjoyable and relaxing stay. Lots to do at the hotel or nearby, and a great pool and bar area where you could easily spend the whole day just relaxing! Recommend going to the wildlife habitat if you are an animal lover (10 mins down the road).

Great resort will go againPosted Jan 1, 2014
A bit further from the beach than the website suggests, however this resort is funky, superbly decorated and has a fantastic pool. Free wifi is a bonus as are the free vintage bicycles available to use and quality toiletries. Bar snacks were over priced (8 buffalo wings is not a 'bucket') but the formal restaurant's all you can eat option was the best I've ever had. Overall a good experience.
