Clean, modern and well located.Posted Apr 18, 2014
Pros: Position, spa bath, quiet
Cons: The hotel has an internet area with no easy provision for printing. Would be good if an area printer could be provided.
Location: Located in the main shopping area of PD. Easy drive to the crocodile park, 4 mile beach, Cairns, Sky rail, surrounding falls and Paranella park
We were pleasantly surprised with the Hotel. The room we had was towards the back of the hotel so minimal noise from the main street. The main bathroom area was large with a large spa bath. There was a private balcony with table and chairs ideal for sitting and eating the exotic fruits acquired from the Anzac Park Sunday markets. The room we had was well maintained, clean, quiet and well located. Getting luggage from the car park to our room was a little awkward and older less mobile folks would need to be mindful and see if they could get a room positioned to minimise stairs.

Excellent!Posted Apr 15, 2014
Pros: Location, hot tub
Cons: Free wifi- its 2014!
Location: Beach easy walking distance, pubs and shops on maccrossan street equally as close
Excellent hotel - nice size, good facilities (including your own hot tub) and close to both the hub of PD and 4 mile beach. Only downside is expensive wifi - disappointing in 2014 but so be it. Highly recommend!

Convenient hotel location to the main street in Port Douglas. Hotel provided amenities that allowed us to eat and drink in room with no issue.

Fabulous Location with excellent service!Posted Jan 15, 2014 on Hotels.com
We stayed on the 3rd floor in a fabulous apartment with a jetted tub on our balcony. The Regal was a short walk to Four Mile Beach and close to shops, cafés, restaurants and bars. The pool was great to come back to every afternoon after our day trips in the car. Even the marina is in walking distance. The free underground parking was an added bonus and the exceptional, friendly service will guarantee our return.

Sheryl Saves The Day at the Regal Port DouglasPosted Dec 29, 2013 on Hotels.com
We stayed at the regal port douglas From dec 17th to dec 26th 2013 Firstly, Sheryl the manager, is what makes the Regal Port Douglas, she is so helpful and informative and has a great knowledge of the resort, attractions and places of interest and is only to keen to share her knowledge with you! As for the location, it's ideal as it's on the corner of Hastings street the Main Street in Port Douglas for restaurants, shops and supermarket As for the accommodation, we were a bit disappointed, we had a double room, which was actually 2 apartments 12a and 12b with a corridor linking the 2 apartments! The apartments are very clean and had a spa bath and jacuzzi which is very nice! But we found our apartments to be quiet dark inside and had no dishwasher, oven or grill which we found disappointing! Our overall view is great manager in Sheryl, good location but apartments need updating! Jones Family Herfordshire England
