Very clean, yummy breakfast and upscale!

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: Very friendly staff, upscale feel, comfortable beds but the pillows were like TOO soft. lol The complimentary breakfast was awesome!
Cons: We stayed on 2nd floor and ALL we could hear was the people above us walking around. Thin floors/ceilings? Vending machine wouldn't take our card.
Location: We visited this location to view the local fireworks and go to Festival. Great location for hotel and ate at Freighters (yum) which was nearby!
We checked in around 4pm and the staff was friendly and helpful and gave us recommendations on other fireworks nearby (which we went to). We wished we could have went into the pool, but didn't get back until after midnight. Breakfast was super awesome and every staff member who we encountered, said Good Morning and/or asked us if we needed anything. **I couldn't figure out the waffle maker to save my life! lol My husband enjoyed the "robust" coffee choice and I was happy to see 3 kinds of juices available. The room was clean, bathroom was pretty large and we liked that there was a fridge and microwave (for leftovers). **We didn't think of it, but had we called the desk, I'm sure they would have given us some plastic silverware to use for eating. We even liked that the vending machine on the first floor took a credit card, but unfortunately, it wasn't working (no fruit snack for me!) probably for the best lol We stayed on the 2nd floor and the only negative thing I can say about this was that we could hear the people walking above us (pretty loudly and unfortunately for us, pretty late). Beds were comfy/soft/bouncy/clean. We like firm pillows, so we had to double up on those as they are like TOO soft. We liked that HBO was on because we watch True Blood and got to watch the episode we would have missed. Due to this trip, our preference for Hotel stays will be Hampton Inns if they are in the vicinity of where we are staying!!

Great stay

Pros: You can always rely on a Hampton Inn
We found the beds to be pretty soft and the pillows to be curiously overstuffed, but otherwise everything was good.

Noisy

Posted May 26, 2014
Pros: Breakfast
Cons: sound insulation but too late i would think.
Besides the false fire ala rm that saw us all in the parking lot in the middle of the night I have never stayed in a Hampton Inn that was so noisy, not from outside traffic, but from all the rooms around ours. They must have left all sound insulation out of this place when they built it. I could hear every foot step in unit above us, when they used the washroom (in too much detail) and when they spoke. They were not the least bit noisy but even normal conversations could be heard below. When the flushed the toilet it sounded like it was coming right into our bedroom. How could they build a place this noisy? We stayed a few night later in another Hampton and it was right beside a busy hiway and room was totally silent, not like this one.

Great hotel!

Posted Apr 28, 2014
Pros: Room size, hotel staff, price.
Cons: Location not so good for visiting around Port Huron, but is perfect for catching the train out of Port Huron (our reason for staying)
Location: Didn't do much nearby except dinner at Olive Garden and a bit of shopping.
Good price, large room, lots of clean towels and bedding, very clean, helpful friendly staff, and very quiet and comfortable. Excellent!
