Handy for breaking a long journey

Pros: Very good with friendly staff. Liked the choice of food for breakfast on site.
Cons: None excelent value for the price paid.
Location: Handy for the motorway, for breaking a long drive.
A comfortable room with comfy seating to watch TV.

Pros: It was the cheapest I could find for miles of that area. There were four beds in our room.
Cons: Depth of the bath - it was too shallow.
Location: Next to a service station. Great if you need to sleep while on a long trip.
This is a very basic hotel but we were pleased with the comfort of the room. Staff were friendly and were fine with us checking in in the early hours of the morning.

Perfect location to get to places we wanted to go.

Pros: Convenient location, comfortable beds.
Location: Bristol centre not far, Clifton Suspension Bridge, Zoo. Being right next to motorway enabled us to visit Weston Super Mare with ease.
Had a family room with my two sons. Comfortable beds. Couldn't hear traffic from motorway or service station. Continental breakfast was perfect for us. Staff were welcoming and all said hello when passing. Would definitely stay again.

Hotel within M5 service centre

Pros: Fairly well shielded from the M5
Location: Maybe update to a card system on the doors and to allow after hours entry to foyer.
Had a one night stay traveling between Wales and Heathrow. Chose this hotel due to complementary parking and easy to navigate to. Fine for the price. Parking is still a little challenging as spaces filled up and the surrounding service centre mainly caters to trucks.

Hot and horrible

We booked in a room for four people- 2 adults and 2 children. When we went to our room, they hadn't made up the trundle bed so I had to find bedding and make up the bed over a rather grubby mattress protector. The room was boiling hot ( no air-conditioning despite it being a modern building) and no fan in the room. The window was 'safety protected', despite being on the 1st floor, and literally opened a crack of a couple cm. So, no air flow! The desk staff kindly leant us their minuscule desk fan when we enquired about getting a fan. The bathroom had a mouldy shower and a toilet seat that slid around. They also were incredibly mean in terms of power points to charge mobile phones, iPads, etc. compared to competitor chain hotels.

Location: Nothing nearby. Even Starbucks was closed. The service station had cold food that we heated in the hotel.
It took us quite a while and two phone calls to find this hotel. It is hidden behind a service station on a confusing roundabout off the Motorway far from Bristol.

Pros: Friendly staff, cleanliness, the birds were a nice touch, and also had a visit from the cat! Great little character
Location: As it is on the services, there is plenty of places to eat and shop
A nice comfortable clean room. Plenty of sleeping space and clean linen. Hot showers and even some home comforts sometimes forgot. Nice touch! I would stay here again and I would definitely recommend to friends and family.
