Close to family

Posted Aug 16, 2014
Pros: Location to family
Cons: Update carpeting and furniture
Location: Near our family who we were visiting.
Clean sheets, clean but old bed coverings; old carpeting and furniture. Clean bathroom that was pretty good - always plenty of hot water. Just basically slept there as we were with family the entire rest of the day. We would stay there again as it is convenient.

Old hotel in need of spruce up. Walking neighborhood. Very nice staff. Management needs customer first training

Alright.

Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Fix equipment. Cleaner grounds, hallways and rooms.
Location: 5 minute drive to downtown. Relatively close to things.
Hallways were in need of vacuuming. Room smelled funny. Ice machine was not working.

Shakedown….

Posted Jun 24, 2014
Cons: Customer Service
I made reservations for my son. He checked in first and instead of calling Expedia the front desk clerk said he called the owner and the only way he could check in is with $100.00 cash. My son called me, I called Expedia and changed the reservations to his name since he was checking in, even thought I noted it he had my authorization in the reservation. After Expedia called the motel, they then charged $22.00 cash for a small dog, and the posted rate was $10.00. He would give no receipt for the cash. I did report to Expedia. It was also expensive for a motel of this level.

Fine motel for reasonable rate

A comfortable and quiet place for the three nights. Service personnel at the desk were unusually helpful. Was a 8-minute walk from the MAX train station which I used daily.

One of the cheaper hotels near the hospital

Posted Mar 21, 2014
Pros: good bed, had a frig and microwave.
Cons: lower rate
Location: hospital
It had a clean and comfortable bed (with no sign of bedbugs) and was adequate for getting some good rest after sleeping in a chair at the hospital. However, it wouldn't be somewhere to plan a luxury vacation. This was no doubt a nice place 30 years ago.

what you would expect for the price

Posted Mar 12, 2014 on Hotels.com
Room was clean. About what you would expect for the price. Kind of a scarey neighborhood for a mom and daughter traveling by themselves. A 10-15 min walk to tram and bus. Very convient if you are driving anywhere. Less than 10 min drive to downtown, convention center, lyod mall, parks, etc. Rooms are non smoking so several people stand in parkinglot and walkways to smoke. I know the hotel cant control that, but not fun for other guests to walk through.

The staff at Banfield Hotel off I84 in Portland Oregon was very accommodating and helpful. I will definitely stay there again. It is in a central location that makes it easy to get where you're going in the city.
