Great hotel. Perfect for the price, breakfast was good. My only gripe is that there was no bacon with breakfast.

Okay facility, rude staff.

Posted Jan 19, 2015
Pros: Comfortable beds. Windows that open for fresh air. Big parking spots so I didn't worry about door dings. Lots of counter space in room to spread out
Cons: The front desk staff stared at counter when guests walked by. For a day or two it wouldn't bug me. But all 5 days? Rude. Maintenace dude was rude.
Location: Portland Expo is only 5 minutes away at all times if you take the back way to it. There are a few restaurants nearby. Fast food and sit down.
We were at this hotel for 5 nights. Every time we saw a staff member they avoided eye contact or conversation. None of the people walking by were acknowleged. It felt like they were snubbing everyone. One of the maintenance guys was rude and insulting. Lighting was dim. Refrigerator was small but worked well after we propped cabinet door open that refrigerator was in. The place was clean, no issues there. The parking lot had nice parking spots, large enough that generally you didn't have to worry about squeezing a normal size vehicle into it. The bathroom was clean and roomy. Outlets above the desk allowed me to charge all my electronics at the same time. I stay at Best Western a lot, if they were to train their staff to be pleasant it would be a huge improvement. And get rid of the $20.00 a day dog charge. All the other Best Western hotels I've been in only charge $20.00 a stay.

Near the river and downtown Portland

Posted Jan 16, 2015
Pros: large TV, good breakfast, handy to freeway, glad to have a Gideon Bible
Cons: Missed hand lotion in the bathroom
Location: Liked being near the river and near I-5
Very modern type hotel with clean comfortable rooms. We could hear what was going on outside the room, but enjoyed the comfort of it and the large TV.

Off Leash and Off the Beaten Path

Posted Jan 6, 2015
Pros: - Easy access to I-5 - Ample free parking - Next to a park to walk my dogs - In walking distance of restaurants and Walmart
Cons: As a vegan, I don't eat their breakfast because it's not vegan friendly. But I can live with that.
Location: The Meadows is a hop skip and a jump to Alberta street, which is foodie heaven. I love going to the Bye & Bye to get a drink and feast on vegan food.
I've stayed at the Best Western at the Meadows several times. It's my preferred location in the Portland area. The staff is always friendly; everyone from the front desk to the maids. The facilities are always clean and it doesn't hurt that they are competitively priced.

Pros: dog friendly, good location.
Cons: breakfast line was looooong....
Location: all of the best of Portland a short drive away!
nice, clean room, comfortable bed, good breakfast, in room coffee. We brought our dog and they have a nice area just outside our wing to walk.

NOISY - and a staff that could care less

Posted Dec 15, 2014
Pros: It was very clean, nicely appointed.
Cons: Have your front desk staff care. Have them enforce quiet, especially when you are called to help.
Location: Right by expo center
Cheerleaders. Lots of cheerleaders at all hours of the night and early early morning. Running up and down the halls, screaming, laughing and being obnoxious. On the hall adjacent to the lobby. Front desk staff couldn't care less.

Last second stop.

The hotel staff is professional and polite. The hotels amenities are updated and clean. Unfortunately the room had an annoying heater noise that started early in the morning for a few hours and the beds are firmer than most. Each experience is different and I would say the hotel is nice overall but with the two issues that were experienced I would not recommend it to another. There are better hotels for the price.

Very nice hotel

Posted Nov 15, 2014
Pros: Nice rooms. very good breakfast. fast wifi
Cons: Get rid of 24 hour notice on shuttle. 6 hours max.
Location: Restaurants, gas. Airport fairly close
Attractive and upgraded. Comfortable room. good wifi. Close to restaurants. Fairly close to airport. All the amenities. Very good hot breakfast. Has shuttle but need to schedule 24 hours in advance
