It would have been nice to know before booking that the amenities would be unusable during the stay due to construction and that we wouldn't have WATER in our hotel room from 10am to 3pm on one of our days there. The whole floor we stayed on smelled like a sweaty teenage boys bedroom. Wallpaper peeling off the wall, carpet and trim ripped up. Noisy construction and workers outside of our room during stay, plastic covering the windows. The room itself was decent. Would not have booked here had I known this information prior. Kind and friendly staff is the only plus about this stay.

The property was under heavy construction, which wasn't communicated to us. The fire alarm went off twice in one day - once at 6am, and another time at 10:30pm. Breakfast was very good, staff was kind.

I always stay here when I fly out of Portland. At least for the past 10 years. It is extremely clean, the staff is always friendly, breakfast is adequate, but they ALWAYS have a bit of construction and repairs going on throughout the property. It doesn't interfere with sleeping as they only work during the day. The hotel is extremely convenient for those travelers who wish to stay close to the airport. I recommend this hotel.

This was always our hotel where we stayed at while in Oregon. Always an affordable visit and very safe. I guess they were just bought out so lots of construction were taking place . When we got into our room, we found out that our refrigerator wasn’t working . They brought replacement within an hour . A couple of days before we left, our remote for the tv decided not to work . Little spiders were found in our bathroom. Maybe we just stayed there at the wrong time . Hopefully everything will be fixed for our next stay .

The room were really stinky and had foul smell around. The walls , bedsheets and linens were dirty. It could barely sleep through out the night. The only good thing at whole hotel was the receptionist Mona, she was welcoming but couldn’t do much with the condition of room and property.

If I were to know before staying here the gym/pool/amenities were all closed I would have chosen somewhere else. The construction was also a surprise. There is a weird black moldy looking water stain above the bed. Last night around 10 there was a very strong smell of sewer that lasted 10min. Very strange. Staff all very nice. Clean bed.

The hotel is under a complete renovation, inside and out therefore looks quite a mess with baseboard missing, gravel walkway, etc. Receptionist was pleasant but would recommend not to stay here until renovation is done

Hotel didn’t answer several messages sent through Expedia. Not sure if they didn’t get them or didn’t respond. Shuttle stopped running at 11 pm so our late flight cost us $$. Early flight meant no breakfast. It would have been nice to at least have a pot of coffee for early flight folks. Room was nice.

I arrived to find a total renovation in process, windows out, clear water and mold, all extra services closed. Wake up call wasn't logged, airport shuttle wasn't organized despite asking for both. The only attention to detail was that of the breakfast staff. I'm now worried about the my health. Don't stay here until this place has been completed and mold mitigated finishec and management becomes honest and attentive.

The Clarion is undergoing a massive renovation and the property is trashed. Ladders in the hallway, 5 gallon buckets in the hallways with removed bead bracing, plastic wrap that was peeling off the floor and other signs of contractors not caring how they leave the site. All in all this was not a pleasant experience. When the property is restored in late summer or early fall this is a great location and the shuttle was prompt on nearly morning departure. Michael at the front desk was very nice and helpful to find a restaurant close by. I know they need to run a business and the place might be very nice. Until then and unless they start offering deep discounts I would suggest going elsewhere.

This property is under construction, primarily outside at this time, but also interior halls so very messy & smelly in those areas. Staff are amazingly cheerful despite the circumstances. Luckily we were not in the room during construction hours.

This hotel is currently under construction and we did not see any notice of this online. When we pulled up the only handicap parking spot was not accessible due to the construction. I parked over from the handicap spot, next to two other cars. The front desk person was outside watching and followed us inside, as we approached the desk he came up behind us and greeted us. Then he politely told me I’d have to move my car, as I could not park against the building. I asked if there was handicap or ADA parking and he said it was up again not the building right outside the door, but due to construction I could not park there either. I politely let him know that it was not compliant with ADA regulations, and he told me I could take it up With management. I said ok. He then said management is off for the next few days. Now it was 8pm and pouring rain. I was not parked in a handicap spot, but the closest open spot to the door. I was traveling with Mother, who is handicap, and had booked an ADA room. I went and moved my car, but the two cars next to me, remained. Not sure why they were okay and I was not. They were parked against the building which is the reason I was told I had to move. The moving is not the actual issue, but the lack of ADA parking is. I’m glad there is updates happening, as I often stay here when traveling and have always had a good experience, but this stay and employee attitude was not. Others may not be traveling with an able body.

The hotel is close to PDX with an airport shuttle which is very convenient, friendly and efficient staff. The building is having new siding installed and with it being in the winter months the common areas are chilly.

It is challenging to give a hotel a great review while they are in the middle of remodeling. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were nice and helpful. The free breakfast was good. I was able to overlook the condition of the hotel. I used their shuttle from the airport. For me, it was a overnight stay and nothing fancy was required so it met my expectations.

The property is doing a rebottle. There is no siding or apparently roof on the building. It had terrible leaks. They should be closed during this remodel. The staff was very pleasant though, and helped me relocate to another motel.
