One night at Comfort inn.

Posted Jun 26, 2015
Pros: I liked the cleanliness, the comfort and the convenience of the location.
Cons: Not much. Just the mildew issue.
Location: Easy access from the highway. The Rte it was on was annoying because to get to certain places required u-turns. Close to Portland and attractions.
The furnishings and carpet were in good shape and were of recent fashion. The bedding was crisp and clean and the bed was comfortable. I liked that there were pillows on the bed of various firmness to chose from. The bathroom was clean, standard hotel style, which is fine. There seemed to be a war going on with mildew on the calking in the shower. I think it was winning, barely. I liked that the room was at the end of the hall so things were quiet. Staff was friendly enough. With a one night stay there wasn't much contact with them. Plenty of parking. A decent continental breakfast included in the stay. Everything was clean ever where. A good experience.

Nice Quiet Stay

Posted Jun 17, 2015
Cons: A bell on the desk would be helpful if the staff has to be out back doing other tasks and can't hear when guests arrive to check in.
Our stay was very pleasant. Location is great, facility was very nice.

Three Dudes on a weekend trip

Posted Jun 3, 2015
Pros: The Price was right, at 100 per night, it was the cheapest Hotel in the greater Portland area. The Jamacain Couple serving breakfast did a great job.
Cons: Could be cleaner. The pool water was dirty, the room bed sheets soiled in places, and blood on the Shower curtain.
Location: Portland is ten minutes away, so is Walmart and other shopping and some GREAT diner drive-in and dives close by for your Clam Plate fix (ChowderHeads)
Easy check in and out with a comfortable bed and decent breakfast. No frills, not the cleanest, no Frig or microwave.

The room was clean; the bed was comfortable; the bathroom fully functional; staff was friendly & helpful.. We are simple travelers and don't require much more than that.

Okay, but attention to detail is lacking.

Posted Jun 3, 2015
Room was not dirty but not clean either. Found a few bugs in the room and they were still there the next night. Which means they didn't even sweep the bathroom. Also no tissues the first night. Fridge was turned up too high and froze some of our food. Nothing major, but made me feel as though attention to detail was lacking. Pool was also pretty cloudy.

Need Improvement

Posted Jun 1, 2015
Pros: It served it's purpose for the night and was convenient.
Cons: Staff training
Location: Barrelled Soles and Chicago Dogs,
Hotel was handy to event and clean and neat. Booking through Expedia was not easy. I booked 3 rooms and prepaid Expedia. One room had a faulty smoke detector which kept going off every 2 minutes. Hotel could do nothing until 11 am. That couple is not happy and would like a refund. Hotel staff was not helpful. Wouldn't book a Comfort again and won't use Expedia.

Pros: The room was clean and comfortable, as well as nice to look at. The staff were all very courteous and helpful.
Cons: I honestly could not say one negative thing about it.
Location: Scarborough is a great central location for things to do and see in Maine. There are many restaurants, beaches and parks nearby.
The hotel is very pleasant and everything about it met or exceeded my expectations.
