Nightmare that lasted three days

Posted Apr 23, 2015
Pros: Good: Bar and restaurant staff were very good. The breakfast each morning couldn't be better. I also enjoyed the wall street journal each morning.
Cons: Hotel desk personnel training. Customer service training. HVAC system. Room need remodeling.
Location: Located at the far northern edge of Portland against the Columbia river.
Our bed was very old and saggy and should have been replaced long ago. Our daughter stayed with us and when the sofa bed was pulled out (also very uncomfortable) there was literally no room to walk to reach the old decrepit wall air conditioner. That thing was a joke! It worked great for about 20 minutes, then stopped and shut off. The hotel staff didn't see anything wrong. When our room stayed around 75 - 78 degrees all night long. Try sleeping when there's no air and your sweating in a bed that hurts your body. The desk staff didn't know how to charge our credit card to purchase a movie for $17.99 so that didn't work either.

Right next to the water

Posted Feb 18, 2015
The hotel was nice, staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. When I had asked about getting an extra roll-away bed in the double bed room they changed my room to a bigger one with a sofa bed. It fit 6 people comfortably. The parking garage had really small stalls so I opted to park across the street in their other lots. It was nice to see that they has a lot of parking spaces. By booking through Expedia you also get free breakfast which was nice and it's not like the cheap free breakfast places in other hotels where you only get muffins and waffles. They have eggs, bacon, sausage, fruit, etc. My only complaint was that to get to the location the road makes you take a lot of loops since it's close to the water. There's only a pizza place and a 24 hour subway within walking distance so you have to take those loops again to get to more fast food options 1 exit away. Overall it was a good experience. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this place to others.

Decent room. The breakfast was pretty good if you get the coupons added to the price when booking.

Nice hotel close to Columbia river

It was great, surprising there was no fridge and little bottles of shampoo/conditioner/soap weren't enough.

Enjoyable stay

Posted Nov 6, 2014 on Hotels.com
An enjoyable stay overall. It's a little difficult to find and traffic on the street is a little tight. The off street, private parking was convenient, however. Great bar and easy going staff, although the weekend bartender needs to set his smartphone down a little more often. Food is good as well.

Pretty basic, don't expect a fridge

Posted Oct 22, 2014 on Hotels.com
Even though a fridge was listed as one of the amenities that was supposed to come with our room, there was no fridge. The hotel supposedly has some available, but they were out for all three days of our stay. For the price, I thought it was fine but my Mom was dissapointed in the lack of plushness of the room and lack of amenities like a fridge and DVD player.
