Nice place to stay

Posted Jul 1, 2015
It was nice overall. We like the location because there are nearby restaurants. Not that far from downtown Portland.

A little outdated but they are in the process of updating. The breakfast was really good.

WHY

Posted Jun 16, 2015
your better off going to a motel 6 overpriced WAY overpriced for what I got. Facilities didn't work and pictures that were portrayed on website reflected the renovated finish NOT the actual room, Expedia disappointed

It is unfortunate the room did not meet your expectations, as a fellow traveler I understand your irritation. We apologize for the inconvenience. Our property pictures on Expedia are very dated. The pictures do not represent the renovated rooms. We hope you return after the renovations are complete and see our finished property. Safe travels to you and your family.

Very affordable and convenient way to see Portland

Posted Jun 16, 2015
The hotel is scheduled for a major remodel. There are signs warning of the upcoming remodel. It is dated and in need of being refreshed. Expect loose fixtures, scratched furniture, old carpets. But other than that, this place was great. Clean, quite, comfortable, and *cheap*. I couldn't have been happier. The rail to downtown is a 5 minute walk away, costs $2.50 each way, and takes about 30 minutes. Cheaper than parking a car downtown. Free WiFi, free parking, etc. Safe area. This is an industrial part of town, so don't expect anything glamorous. There is a Walmart next door, and several restaurants within walking distance. There is a large sports park (soccer fields, baseball fields) just behind the hotel - great for kids to run.

Shop til you drop Portland

Posted Jun 9, 2015
Pros: Lots of parking. Air conditioned rooms. View of park on back side of the building. Coffee or tea 24/7. Free WiFi.
Cons: They are in the middle of renovating so I guess they are on it. Our bed and pillows weren't the best we've slept on.
Location: Close to Jantzen Beach shopping (Target). Close to downtown. Walmart and some fast food restaurants nearby. Easy access to Interstate 5.
Quick check in and out. Happy with the staff. No frills hotel. Perfect place to crash, especially if your sole purpose is to shop tax free.

Totally satisfied

Posted Apr 28, 2014 on Hotels
When I first arrived at the Portland Days Inn, I was suspect about the location. It seemed to be in the middle of nowhere. I soon found out, however, that the location was not bad at all. It was a short (5 minute) walk to the yellow line MAX station, and from there I could get anywhere I wanted to go with no problem. Despite being a little worn and having an old console-style TV that seemed almost identical to an old Zenith I had back in 1988, I was completely satisfied with the room, which was large, comfy, and clean. The slightly worn aspect of the place might soon be taken care of - in the lobby, there were signs announcing impending renovations. The employees at the front desk were also very kind and helpful. I really appreciated the self-serve Seatle's Best coffee available in the lobby 24 hours, and the breakfast was just perfect for me. They had eggs, bacon and the like for those that want a hearty breakfast, but for those like me that prefer something just a bit lighter, they also had a good assortment of yoghurt and bagels. Topping off my stay was the complementary ride to the airport, which I hadn't been expecting, so it was a nice surprise. If I'm ever in Portland again, I'll definitely return to this hotel.

Nice place for a stopover

Posted Apr 19, 2014 on Hotels
We take an annual trip to Seattle each Easter Weekend and we've been stopping here for a quiet over night for the last 3 years. The place is modest but clean and quiet. The staff is nice and helpful. Will be by again next year!

Very nice for a short stay.

Posted Feb 28, 2014
Pros: Easy access to the freeway.
Cons: I would suggest posting some where in the rooms the check out time and procedure. I had to ask about both.
All staff were pleasant, the cleaning staff was very nice as well. The continental breakfast was more then most offer and was a nice surprise.
