Affordable and Decent

Posted Mar 31, 2014
Pros: The man at the front desk was polite and I felt safe.
Cons: An Iron in each room.
Location: Pacific U near by, cool looking library, park with statue of people holding burgers across the street (quite amusing), explore oregon
I though the guy at the front desk was very nice. The room was clean and appeared to have been updated within the last 5 years and was still in good shape. It had all the basic amenities minus an iron. The sheets were clean and showed no signs of bed bugs. I stayed here for two nights and got adequate rest. Plenty of food nearby, I hope you like mexican.

Great location, great price

Posted Mar 12, 2014
Cons: Their continental breakfast could be improved.
Nice little place at a very good price. Excellent location. Only 4 blocks from Pacific University's Health Professions campus and the light rail stop. I recommend it for students who might visit the area. Nothing fancy, but good value for the price.

Less Than Happy Stay

Posted Dec 3, 2013 on Hotels.com
I was feeling sick and needed a place to stay because I knew I wouldn't make it home. The very kind man at Hotels.com went above and beyond to help me with my stay. He called this location to see if they would make an exception for my little dog. However, when I went to check in, the woman behind the desk, although smiling, was not very nice. She informs me she isn't suppose to take my Visa debit card and informs me I need to get a major credit card. I inform her, I have had no issues using this card at any hotel anywhere in the country and it is all I have. She makes a really huge deal about my Visa debit card and made me so uncomfortable, while I'm already sick. Then I say to her, well you have been paid, the money was already taken care of by the gentleman at Hotels.com. She informs me they will not do business with THEM anymore because they aren't happy with them. UM, you could have said NO and it wasn't like your old, cheap hotel was full......... because it wasn't! I would not recommend them to anyone if this is their attitude. I felt insulted and I have never been refused a room while using my card.

Perfectly fine hotel except not much sound proof

Posted Nov 18, 2013
Cons: Better sound insulation between in the ceiling.
Location: Lots of ethnic restaurants nearby. Indian, thai, mexican, vietnamese.
Hotel was perfectly fine. Room was clean. Hotel staff was nice and pleasant. Only downfall to the room is that it lacks sound proofing. I slept in a room downstairs and was awoken from 1230am to 130am because someone upstairs happened to check in at a time when everything else was dead quiet. For a full hour, all I heard were the thud footsteps of the guy from above. Very distracting and noisy. Made it very hard to sleep. Basically.... use this hotel but make sure you're the one on the top floor.

Good place to crash after a long day in Portland

Posted Oct 20, 2013
Pros: Location-- it is only a few blocks to the MAX stop to get to downtown.
Cons: The continental breakfast had very limited choices. :(
Location: Since the breakfast wasn't great, we went to the Mexican place across the street. Great breakfast burritos!
We stayed two nights at the EconoLodge. It was quiet, clean, comfy, all that good stuff.
