Great stay

Friendly staff, clean hotel, nicely updated room. Close to the max to get into the city or take about a $28 taxi, either way it's accessible to downtown. Evening drinks and snacks included as well as a fabulous breakfast!

Close to airport

Posted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: Good variety in buffet breakfast. Large living space was nice for the family
Cons: A/C in fitness room was not working well. Lumpy mattress. No Wifi. Rooms are dated. No shuttle to Cascades Mall so we had to drive
Location: Quick walk to Max station Cascades Mall near by Quick access to freeway
Spacious room. Nice to have onsite full service restaurant. We usually stay at Aloft or Hyatt Place when in Portland. This was a good alternative.

Cons: sofa bed comfort
Sofa bed was very uncomfortable. But we loved the lobby area!!! Our children liked the fish too. And we enjoyed the complimentary snack and drinks in the evening.

Disappointing!

Posted Aug 24, 2014
Pros: Dinner and proximity to airport
Cons: Customer service
We booked this room after finding out that Aloft was sold out. This hotel was almost twice the price.I have stayed at many hotels and in many different places and also other Embassy Suites.I was traveling with four teenage girls two of which were flying to Italy the next morning. We had been shopping all day and had quite a bit of luggage so I pulled up to the hotel to check in.I asked if there was someone who could help with luggage and a couple of he check in gals looked at each other and finally one said "I guess I can help".I have always been offered with luggage in other hotels? We went up to room which was quite dated and realized the room had two double beds and I was expecting two queens.Lamp between beds was broken.Beds obviously not their fault but expected more room for everyone. We decide to go downstairs to dinner and called downstairs to have sofa bed made up.Left a generous tip for this and when we returned there were only sheets no blankets or pillows??Called down to front desk and they said someone would be right up.Waited another 30 minutes and called again and got same response. Finally after another 20 minutes I had to go down to the front desk and ask someone to bring up.Really? For a $250 dollar hotel plus $10 to park your own car plus another $10 to use wifi I expected so much more.On a positive note the dinner was very good in the restaurant and we had a great waiter.Would not stay here again.

Strong pet Odor IN 626, hotel filthy

Posted Aug 16, 2014
Pros: The lobby was pretty
Cons: New furniture, CLEAN EVERYTHING IN THE ROOMS EVERYTIME, needs some kind of customer service, better than none at all.
Location: If I wasn't trying to get a room that didn't stink I could have stayed and went to the ocean. But instead we had to drive home all night.
This is a terrible hotel expirience. WE are staying at the Embassy Suites Portland Airport in Oregon. The room we booked was supposed to be the qualtiy of a $230 room, booked for not much cheaper really. This hotel is so gross. The room they put us in last night smelled just like a cat box!!! It was also filthy, with spray marks on the picture glass next to the bed, dusty dirty, filthy mirrors, trash on the floor in the lobby, dumpy. God a headache from the smell in the room. They sent up somebody last night with "spray" and did not give us a new room. Switched today and the room is slightly less smelly but it still reeks and is dirty. I can't reach customer service with expedia in any way, on line or on the phone. I'm getting angry and frustrated. I want to change to a different hotel but am stuck in a filthy one that I paid wayyyy to much for!!!!
