A nice hotel located very close to a not so nice part of Portland. The breakfast and staff are excellent. WIFI is NOT free - expensive in room but free in lobby.

The hotel was much more than expected

Posted Jun 27, 2015
Everything was beautiful, but highly recommend to tell room service when to come for they will barge into your room at random times... The place was clean, and twice the size. Has very classic hotel feeling, for it was built in 1912. ~cheers

Walk to Downtown Portland

Posted Jun 27, 2015
Pros: Location & Parking
Cons: The price is a little high.
Location: Excellent for walking to downtown shopping areas.
If you want to stay in downtown Portland so that you can walk around, this is an excellent location. And, the parking is reasonable and accommodating. I recommend this hotel.

Weekday getaway

Posted Jun 18, 2015
Overall very nice. Clean, complimentary happy hour and breakfast, nice pool and hot tub. Only downside was the fitness center under construction but the reception desk provided free passes to the gym around the corner as compensation for the inconvenience. Close to everything downtown, so we walked everywhere. I would recommend this hotel and plan to stay here again.

Loved the individual room climate control.

Posted Jun 16, 2015
Pros: Individual climate control, room size.
Cons: The breakfast area was such a madhouse, especially late mornings on weekends. Everyone has the same idea I guess.
Location: Evidently Portland has a sympathetic attitude towards their homeless and there are many in this area, often "camping out" on the side walk.
Nights got chilly after a summer cold snap, so was glad that I could get heat in the room. Spacious, comfortable rooms, attractive facility. Large, busy breakfast area, with no variety. Location could be bothersome to some.

Nice, clean and great location

Posted May 31, 2015
Pros: Location, Breakfast and cleanliness of rooms
Location: Downtown, China town and the river are close. Some very nice restaurants close to hotel
Location is awesome, a short walk to downtown and the river. Staff was friendly and very accommodating. We arrived early and we were accommodated with early check in. The breakfast is fantastic and a pleasant surprise was the evening reception. The rooms are spacious and clean and very comfortable

Great service in a majestic hotel

Posted May 27, 2015
Pros: Very attentive service
Location: The craft beer pubs / hotels and the Book Store
Very attentive service from the front desk, very willing to help. Beautiful suite, large rooms, all mod cons. Portland is a great city, especially the craft beer and the book shop.
