Nice hotel by airport but beware of smoking floor

Posted Jul 18, 2015
Pros: Comfortable beds and separate sitting room with TV and sofa bed.
Cons: Reminder of Manager's reception and breakfast hours when checking in.
Location: Downtown Portland and waterfront are w/n 3 miles. Hotel is located right by airport.
Hotel is conveniently located but parking (open outdoor lot by hotel) gets very congested and full. There are still a few smoking rooms in hotel. If you are a non-smoker, you will want to avoid the 3rd floor. Pay close attention to the times posted for the Manager's reception and breakfast or you will miss out. Beds were very comfortable. Hotel seems more oriented to adults than children. I don't think it has a hot tub or pool.

Pros: The bed was comfortable, the food excellent, and the location next to the airport was a plus.
Location: We booked here to be near the airport flying in and out of Portland to another destination.
The staff was very friendly and helped us whenever we had questions. I booked these rooms in March for the beginning and ending of a trip elsewhere. When we came back through on July 11, we were told we didn't have a reservation. Because I had my printed paperwork in hand, the hotel found us a room. Later, I found an email I had received from Expedia that was sent during our flight to Portland, that the hotel would not be honoring our reservation. All's well that ends well, but I was shocked to find that a hotel could cancel a reservation on the day of my arrival when I was told in my paperwork that I could not cancel or receive a refund on the room.

Close to waterfron

Posted Jul 14, 2015
Pros: Love the suite
Location: Short drive to waterfront shops
Stayed overnight after the James Taylor concert. Many hotels charge for parking, this was at the airport, and no charge for parking. Free 2 hours of cocktails and appetizers.

Great hotel. Will return. Right next to airport, but not at all noisy as might be expected for that location.

Perfect place to stay in Portland

Posted Jun 27, 2015
Pros: Clean, professional staffs
Cons: Breakfast buffet can add stir fried noodles (Random suggestion)
Location: Lobster, lobsters and more lobsters..oh , and lighthouses.
The Embassy Suite Hotel is perfectly suited 8-10 mins drive from downtown Portland and within a very quiet area and a warm homely feel type of hotel. The staffs there are all very professional, welcoming and courteous and you can feel they genuinely enjoy what they do. We stayed there with our 6 month old baby and he slept well in the crib they provided and the rooms are clean with very generous room space. Everything worked and we were able to really relax after a day's drive. So highly recommend the Embassy Suite Portland to anyone considering to stay the night there. Bonus!! Free parking, breakfast with Maxx and WiFi !!

Wonderful stay

Posted Jun 25, 2015
Our granddaughter became ill and everyone was so helpful and nice to her and to my husband and me. The pool and hot tub were clean and beautiful. The food was better than we expected. Everyone was friendly and despite a sick child and a rainy day, we had a good time.
