Nice hotel

Posted Aug 8, 2014
The outside of the hotel looks a bit worn and being near the airport doesnt help give a nice view, but the inside is well kept and clean. Pool is nice but small. Good breakfast included. Free drinks and snacks in the evening is a nice touch. Would recommend as the old port, mall shopping, and beaches are a short drive away.

Very slow elevators. Had to have new batteries put in thermostat. Beware of giving your debit card as an authorization card. They charge your full stay and an estimate of incidentals (almost $100 worth). It will tie up all your money if you don't plan on using your debit card. The hotel had to call my bank to withdraw the authorization hold because I used a different credit card when checking out. They do not explain this process to you at the front desk. The rooms were great, the free breakfast was fabulous, and the staff was awesome. I would definitely stay again.

Pet Floor

Posted Aug 3, 2014
Pros: Pleasant staff clean rooms decent breakfast
Cons: As mentioned above
If you're a pet person, be sure to request that you not be put on the pet floor. Hall and room odors were not pleasing. Not horrible just not good. Could have been a mental thing for me. Elevators needed vacuuming as did hallway. Room was ok needs to be updated. I never have negative things to say about any of the Hilton properties. That's why I stay there but this one was the exception. If it hadn't been so late I would have requested a move. Also when we arrived both front desk clerks were tied up with issues, one on the phone and the other in person. It was a long wait but hand it to the clerks for remaining calm and pleasant even though I was ignored until my turn, as were the others who were also waiting. In the very crowded parking lot, about 6 spaces were blocked by traffic cones for no apparent reason.

Great Hotel

Posted Jul 2, 2014
Pros: The staff and their personal touches.
Location: The location is adjacent to the airport (unbelievable how quiet it is with that in mind). You only need to travel 5 minutes to find food.
Our first visit to the property was in 2010 and we were very happy with our experience. Upon arrival for our second stay we learned we had been named "Family of the Day". The staff gave us a free movie, popcorn, water, and had even upgraded our room to a two bedroom suite. It was so exciting to the children and not to mention two very tired parents! All of the staff were very helpful to us in every aspect of our stay. I will stay here again the next time I am in Portland.

I miss it already.

Free happy hour, free breakfast, stellar fitness center, nice pool & hot tub, noon checkout, cheerful & helpful staff, rooms are lovely and modern. There was a little noise from the airport and we would have like an air conditioning system that didn't go on & off but other than that, the place was amazing.

Location, location, location

Pros: value and size of room
Location: see notes above on location
The hotel was very comfortable and a good value for the money for three people, especially if you want a two- room suite and a full cooked breakfast included. However, I didn't realize that the hotel was on the grounds of the Portland Airport. Even though there was no noise and the atmosphere around the hotel was more than fine, it was a good 10 or 15 minute car ride to downtown Portland or to the waterfront.

This hotel is right next to an airport, LOUD.

Posted Jun 11, 2014
Pros: THE POOL WAS NICE,
Cons: EVERYTHING
Location: There was nothing near by you had to drive everywhere. And the airport was right next to the airport to loud.
The bathroom was dirty. And the sofa was so uncomfortable. And very old and musky.

Never disappointed with embassy suites

Very relaxing stay. As usual, I enjoyed the managers reception and breakfast. The decor was warm and welcoming. I also got a full breakfast included in the price.
