For the money this is a great, clean place to stay. The staff was very pleasant. The room was very spacious and clean. My only complaint was that the cleaning ladies knocked on my door 3 times the day of checkout to see if I was still in there. This upset me quite a bit, but other than that my stay here was excellent and I'd stay there again in a heartbeat.

“Best Staff Ever”

We stayed at 10 different hotels during a three week trip to the East Coast and this one had the greatest staff.. The desk service, the waitresses, the entire hotel staff at the Fireside were outstanding and rated a 10. They were the best of all the hotels. The room we had was clean, nice, good tv. The carpet was just a little on the worn side and the decor needed a little freshening up. The bed was comfortable. Would have liked one more pillow, and I am sure we would have received it if I would have asked.

Nice clean older hotel. Grounds were clean and neat. Nice work out area and sauna, jacuzzi, and swimming pool. For the price, there's nothing to complain about. Next to a large grocery store. Not much but fast food in immediate area, but drive 15 minutes to Portland seaport area and there is a lot of great places to eat and shop at.

“Friendly Staff”

Loved this hotel for the friendliness of the staff and the amenities. A bonus was that the coast (harbor) was close by and I got to see a lighthouse! All in all, a good time!

“Great Value”

Great value for the price. It is a decent hotel to stay in if you are visiting the area. It is comfortable and close to the interstate. The cleanliness could have been a bit better; there were areas in the room that needed dusting- nothing too outrageous though. The beds were pretty amazing, which is why I decided to go with this hotel after reading the reviews. Thank god they don't have those thin plastic-y hotel bed spreads there. Most of the other comparably priced hotels did appear to have those disgusting blankets. All in all, the hotel exceeded my expectations. I would recommend this place to a friend or family member.

“exceeded our expectations”

Attractive decor, great indoor pool loved by our kids, rooms equipped with mini fridge and microwave, good hot shower, comfortable beds , substantial breakfast (but could have been a quicker to refill empty fruit bowls and yogurt) , friendly staff. We felt our expectations were exceeded in all ways. Our only regret was that the beds were double size and we would have much preferred queens.

“Excellent value & location”

The location was perfect, close from the airport, but far enough away that we didn't hear jets taking off. The room was comfortable, the pool clean & well kept. The breakfast was more that I usually eat because I'm not a big breakfast eater. Some might find it lacking in protein. We were centrally located to everything in Portland, only a few minutes drive to downtown or a freeway away to other parts.

Hotel was very nice. It was beautiful lite up at night. The pool was even nicer.
