Very nice staff, clean rooms, good locationPosted Nov 17, 2014
We were generally pleased with our stay. For a budget hotel, it was very clean and modern, and the location is fairly good -- a few blocks away from the bars on Fore, and a few steps to Duck Fat and Eventide. The staff was generally very friendly. Note though, there is an extra charge for parking overnight, a little less than $20 per day.

Great locationPosted Nov 10, 2014
Pros: The staff were terrific and eager to help. Gail always welcomed you to breakfast with a smile!
Cons: Rolling charge for the parking - weekends fine, midweek a bit rough - $15
Location: Restaurants, shipyard brewery, eastern promenade, old port,
Family of 5 - 3 kids- 8,8,10 yrs of age. The breakfast and the pool were the hit for them. No hot tub but they used the shower as their warm-up spot. Only a few 100 yards from Old Port - and on same block with two popular restaurants, Eventide and DuckFat. First Friday of each month is "open house" night for museums and art galleries. Very well done- love the hotel and the city!

Pros: Everything was easy from check in to check out. The breakfast room was comfortable and the food choices were great .
There was nothing to complain about, and that for me is the sign of a well run hotel. Rooms are clean, comfortable, and well designed. It's at the edge of the Old Port and very convenient to downtown Portland and the island ferry. Every

Snow storm layoverPosted Nov 4, 2014
Pros: Location close enough to the harbor and Old Port but far enough away from the people and noise. Good rates.
Location: See above, you're well within walking distance for anything here. Including SeaDogs games cross town maybe 20, 30 minutes on foot.
Good hotel, great location, very clean and well kept. Quick and easy reservations they Expedia. We've stayed before. Great free buffet breakfast and a very nice, energetic staff keeping it up, hot, and clean. Only concern (?) was noisy heat vent and maybe thicker towels?

Great location, great staff.Posted Oct 15, 2014
The clerk who checked us in was really friendly and gave us a map of downtown Portland. She made recommendations for dinner, shopping and gelato, and all of her recommendations were great. The hotel is in a perfect location--walking distance to the waterfront and dining. Great experience.

Pros: good service
Cons: add meusli to the breakfast cereal choices. the paper plates and plastic cutlery are unheard of in our homeland of UK; this seems really cheap.
