“Lovely NW Charm”
We stayed here one night on a family visit to the Vancouver area. The hotel was convenient to the freeway to get around, and only about a 3 minute drive to the nearby Vancouver Mall (where i was able to pick up a few items - not large enough for major shopping expedition). We had a king-size bed which was quite comfortable, and they wheeled in a roll away bed for our 5 year old daughter. Even with that bed, there was still plenty of room to move. Coffee maker is a Keurig, always a nice touch. Service was spectacular - they are really trying hard - we even received a thank you note from the hotel a few days after our return home. We had a very nice breakfast in Hudson's the next morning which completed a lovely stay. We will stay there again on our next visit to the area.
“Lovely Log Cabin Type Hotel”
Front desk was very friendly. Nice clean pool. Comfy beds. fridge did not work though. Great breakfast on 4th floor with cozy room(leather couches, huge flatscreen, fireplace).
“Stellar service”
The room at the Lodge was quite nice , made from sustainable wood. Nice touches like the in-room keurig coffee machine. Very eco in small ways throughout the hotel. The crown jewel, however is the restaurant. Very PNW withlots of exposed wood. The food was inventive. A king salmon filet with a red wine reduction sauce and pork cheeks with braised greens over pasta and parmesan cream. The waiter knew his business and when we asked for a wine reommendation it was a red cab that worked perfectly with the meal. Dessert was a bread pudding that was more of a bread souffle. The waiter was fantastic and never led us astray. If you stay next door, go here for dinner.
“Enjoyable atmosphere”
I really enjoyed this hotel. The rooms were big enough for all four of us to strecth out. Nice view of the of the trees in the back instead of other buildings. It was a very pleasant stay. Didn't have time to enjoy the restraurant but others seem to have a good time. Definitely will stay next time in that area.
“Missy & Cynsy will Return Again--Awesome Food Here!”
As you can see, we gave it the highest rating; especially for the price. Recommend upgrading to fourth floor except it can get noisy with kids during the summer. Most were well-behaved. Everyone from the housekeeper to the lady with the continental breakfast duty were friendly and professionally nice. The on-site restaurant (Hudson's) is not to be missed! Supurb chef who shares his recipes with understated pride. WeI thought we had died and gone to heaven with the Spicey Prawns! Wear something to match the tomato sauce as I guarantee you will be slurping up the sauce with a spoon! Convenient location to all the places we visited for shopping and eating. Also liked the landscaping-helpful for our first heat wave of the year. Pool was understandablly crowded with families. Hot tub perfect and sitting areas in two places outside. Comfortable, clean rooms with microwave/fridge. Close to freeways without being overly noisy or next to it. Enjoy! We sure did!!
“A mountain lodge near the mall!!”
Great lodge decor, excellent service and great dining. Quiet room with a comfortable bed. Eco friendly policies and of course smoke free. This place was a pleasant surprise. We enjoyed the short drive to downtown Portland and the surrounding area. All this for a very resonable price! This place is great!!!
“Loved it”
Even though we were close to everything, we felt like we got away from it all. Although we could hear the freeway from our balcony, all we saw was trees. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.
“Would love to go back!”
We loved this hotel. The dining room was wonderful. The wait staff was very professional. The food was excellent. Our room was clean and the bed was so comfortable. I loved the sheets and will try to find out what kind they were. We used the hot tub, gym and pool and really enjoyed ourselves. I also like that the room had a fridge and microwave. All in all we injoyed our stay. Thank you
“Luxury Lodge? Not Even Close!”
"A relaxing, rustic getaway..." Our stay was anything but. Our reservation was for two queen beds. We were placed in a room with two beds but they were full-size, not queen. We changed rooms, same beds. We also had to walk through several events to get to our room which was awkward for both us and the event attendees. The events, an auction, a wedding, and a charity gala, were extremely noisy (especially the auction). Also, our room on the first floor was a few feet from a busy highway - nothing relaxing or rustic about this lodge. Service - when housekeeping came in the morning they took our towels, glasses, etc. but did not replenish them. It took three calls to the front desk over the period of five hours to get these items. Service was horrible.
“Beautiful hotel”
Very nice hotel, beautifully decorated. Very busy- had multiple functions going on during the weekend and Sunday Brunch (Mothers Day). Chose not to eat in the hotel restaurant- very noisy. Had a great room and nice stay. Would stay there again. Room was nice and quiet with a balcony.
