Close to L.L. BeanPosted Sep 19, 2014
Pros: Nice eating area. Convenient 24 hour snack area.
Cons: Well, we were somewhat disappointed with the restaurant's hours. When looking to enjoy a nice supper it looked like it was closed. Eat at bar maybe?
Location: Location was within walking distance to downtown activities.
Hotel was very comfortable. It was easy checking in and out. Very quiet. Across the street parking with covered drop off area at hotel. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Going the extra mile in our particular case. Be aware though, only a paid breakfast was offered.

Beware the cancellation fee!Posted Aug 13, 2014
Our plans changed while traveling, and there was no flexibility given for canceling our 2nd night, and I think Expedia bookings have less leeway. We should have called hotel directly, or booked each night as separate booking. Onsite staff was friendly.

Super from check-in to check-out.Posted Jul 28, 2014
Cons: Not a thing.
Location: Sightsee. Shop. Eat. Drink. Be merry.
Nice warm reception. Loved the room, excellent comfortable bed. Very well soundproofed as well. Nice little courtyard off the bar to have a nightcap around a gas firepit. Excellent breakfast at very reasonable price. Upscale hands-off hot buffet, with made to order dishes brought to your table. Loved the atmosphere and staff.

Great hotel in very nice settingPosted Jul 14, 2014
We enjoyed the ambiance of the hotel. Very nice lobby with great morning coffee and lemon water the remainder of the day. Room was clean. We really enjoyed the location of the hotel because we could walk to the stores and restaurants. The community is lots of fun with lots of things to do and lots of great shopping as well as lobster eating. By the way, don't miss the whoopie pie shop.

A perfect stayPosted Jun 21, 2014
There is nothing I could say about this hotel other than perfect. The king bed room was spacious as was the huge bathroom. The bed itself was adjustable and super comfortable. The staff was super nice from the maintenance man to the desk clerks to the wait staff and to the breakfast chef. Breakfast every morning was cooked to order and plentiful and considering the cost for breakfast at other establishments in the area other than Mickey D's it was reasonable. The fitness room and indoor swimming pool were convenient and clean. I can now say I swam in Maine. Maid service was spot on and got the job done bright and early. I would definitely stay there again. As far as being built next to railroad tracks, we never once saw or heard a train.

Nothing wrong here. In bad weather parking might be a hassle since it is across the street.

Girls getaway!Posted Jun 12, 2014
Pros: Convenient, so friendly and helpful. Hot water/coffee etc is always available.
Cons: I loved it, but one lady mentioned she misses the mugs in the room.
Location: We love to shop which we did around Freeport, and one day we went in to Portland which is handy.
Every year great friends meet up and enjoy a fun couple of days. The Hilton Garden is our favorite as the location is perfect and as one of the ladies has had breast cancer, we also choose the location as an easy one to just return to the room and have a nap if necessary.
