“Need visual Portland Jetport, this is the place.”

With an ensuing blizzard, I wanted to be near the Portland Jetport as I monitored flights about getting home. The Hilton Garden Inn with its front facing rooms is perfect for that reason. The runway is directly in front of the hotel and about 800 yards away. In the Dec. 27, 2010 blizzard, this was ideal. At times, the weather was so bad that the runway disappeared. I was able to know if planes were taking off or arriving either by seeing or hearing them. The staff at the hotel did everything they could to help stranded travelers. The lobby was clean and busy with all of us with delayed or cancelled flights. I needed to print and fax some papers and the front desk clerk could not have been more helpful. I usually do not want to be located right next to an airport, yet with the bad weather, I did, and the Hilton Garden Inn was just right for me and my family.

“If I didn't live so close to the hotel”

I would have stayed for more than one day. The hotel is located right next to the airport! and on the same road as the exit from 95! It had so many business amenities, I was impressed, and would most definately recommend it to anyone that is a traveling buisness person. And for non-buisness travelers, it was a little slice of heaven right in the middle of town. I would like to stay there the next time I travel to that area.

Excellent airport location with a staff that is customer focused. They obviously understand the business traveler's needs. I will definitely stay there when I am in Portland. Recommended highly.

“Very nice and convenient to the airport and restaurants/shopping...”

I was very pleased with this hotel. I was only there for one night on business, but they allowed me to check-in early at Noon, and it was very comfortable for the one night. The front desk staff was not very friendly, but the facilities were excellently maintained. Highly recommend!
