“Great Staff but for price..not great”

The hotel has a very friendly staff however the rooms need a bit of work.. The bed was terrible and the housekeeping staff tried to get a wine stain out of our comforter instead of changing it ( we could tell because the spot was still wet with cleaner and wasn't completely removed). The view was ocean view and was quite nice and the bathroom large. Overall comfort was just ok. The room felt slightly stuffy like it needed a touch of an update. For the money, we wouldn't return.

Area recommendations

Peaks Island was great! You can ride bikes around the island and check out some amazing views along the coast. The Arts District has neat Museums and Galleries. Great insight into Maine art and architecture. Old POrt had great bars/restaurants such as The Salt Exchange, 555, and Fore Street. Ri Ra was a great Bar right on the water.

End of August is PERFECT!! 70's during the day and high 50's at night.

“Perfect place for a perfect getaway”

Not only are the rooms spacious, clean and comfortable, the service is amazing and the location is perfect once you walk out everything there is in Portland to explore is within walking distance. I recommend this hotel to anyone considering Portland to getaway!

“Best Bed You will ever have at a Hotel”

Everything was really nice. The bed was so confortable that I didn't want to get up and I missed doing a couple of things I wanted to do! Over all it was a great stay. The one thing I did not like, was that I was not told the hotel had a shuttle from the train station and I ended up paying for a cab.

Area recommendations

Since this was my first trip to Portland, I don't know how different the other areas of the city are but the waterfront was great. Lots of shops and places to eat. The area has lots of options for boat tours and trolly tours.

Getting there

The Downeaster is quick and restful was to get there. Early train or late train you get lots of options. I recommend upgrading to business class. There is lots more room and your right next to the cafe!

“Expensive but not Comfortable”

Hotel clean, breakfast buffet great. Room mattresses very uncomfortable and stuffed chair unsupportive. Was told by manager at check out that mattresses were getting near time to be "refreshed". (Very expensive rates).

The whole of downtown Portland is walkable with interesting shops & restaurant everywhere.

“Very Nice Hotel”

Easy to get to clean right by a good bakery. Within walking distance of almost everything downtown Portland has. Valet only but across from the ferry terminal. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

“Worth it for the location”

Your typical Hilton. Clean, friendly staff, not a ton of character, but the location could not be better. Park the car, and enjoy Portland by foot. We had a blast. Everything you need is within reach of this hotel. Would come back anytime.

Check out all the waterfront has to offer. Plenty to eat and drink, plus plenty of boutique shops. Enjoy.

“Very Nice Portland Maine Hotel”

Had a great time with our stay. The Hotel is ideally situated in the heart of Old Port, great access to all the sites and hot spots in Portlands beautiful downtown. Ate dinner at a very close local hot spot walking distance from the hotel. Had great coffee and pastries from the local bakeshop next door, What a great way to celebrate a milestone birthday. A perfect get-a-way!!
