“Perfect location”
We choose this Holiday Inn because we have always had great experiences with them. The location was great because it was in the middle of Port Aransas and Corpus Cristie. Within 1 mile was a Walmart (for beach items and items forgotten) and serveral restautrants. The room was large and clean. The only negative thing I found was NO hot tub. But I could live with that. We will go back
“Looks can be deceiving!”
Everything was great upon arrival. I had high hopes that other reviews were wrong. When we got to our room the floor was nasty. The bathroom was extremely small and had to basically climb into the tub or onto the toilet to close the door. Tiles were broken on the bathroom floor and mildew in the shower. When walking in the room after getting out of the shower and then returning to the bathroom you could see how dirty the carpet was because it left dirty footprints. My children and I went to the pool but I had to clean it! I found a dirty unmentionable item floating at one point and decided that it was too gross and wouldn't allow my children in the water. Also the floor of the pool still had who knows what laying at evey inch of the bottom. SO I asked the front desk if we could use the whirlpool since it wasn't very busy since it's usually for 18 and up. The whirlpool was expected to be like a hot tub but was not. The jets worked but the water was colder than body temp and didn't smell like it had chlorine...So we left after a short stay. Breakfast was actually very nice. My family of 4 only stayed one night but we will definately visit elsewhere next time. For the night, I feel we should have gotten a free visit next time if there is a next time. I don't know why they can't update and clean!

Nice quiet location not far from anything.
“Decent last minute hotel”
The Hotel was good, better than i expected as far as the room. Breakfast was a little bland. Everything kind of tasted artificial. Could use a little more Fresh items at Breakfast. Not to shabby for a last minute vacation on labor day weekend.
