1st time in Maine

Posted Sep 20, 2014
Pros: It was nice and quiet even though located right by a busy freeway. Our room was in the front away from the traffic. Continental breakfast was nice.
Cons: Pool could be warmer. It was too cold to enjoy.
Location: Freeport is not on the water, however Portland is a short drive away. Acadia National Park is a couple hour drive and well worth going to.
Nice location and easy to get around to other cities. Room had a microwave and mini fridge which was a bonus. Beds are comfortable and the room was clean except along the wall by the headboard it could have been cleaner. The Continental Breakfast had a lot of choices and was available until 10 a.m. which is nice for us not so early risers.

Too far from downtown

Everything was fine.....great breakfast too...but I prefer to walk, and it was too far to walk to the shops plus there are no sidewalks right at the hotel. It was the location that I did not like - the hotel itself was great.

Enjoyed our stay.

Pros: Size of rooms and bathrooms.
Cons: Noise from interstate.
Location: Town of Freeport. Shopping.
We had a nice stay at the Holiday inn. Was greated promptly by the front desk clerk. Very friendly. Room was on the second floor. Elevator provided. Large size room. 2 queen beds. Ample pillows , nice linens. Glad no more bedspreads. Mattress firm. Bathroom sizable and modern. Microwave and refrigerator in room. My only suggestion for this location , if you are a light sleeper is to get a room at the front of the building. Interstate is in backyard. Very close and noisy. Breakfast provided. Make your own pancakes , muffins , toast. , sausage , eggs etc. close to town of Freeport.

Too much road noise

Posted Sep 10, 2014
Hotel is between freeway and another main road that at times has lots of traffic. So you can hear road noise quite a bit in the room. Maybe they needed to use more insulation when constructed. Other than this, it was just fine. Hotels across the street are probably much quieter.

Stay with family im maine

Posted Sep 2, 2014
Vey happy with hotel and service however. This was a hotel with regular rooms and Suites. Booked for 5 . My wife and i my daughter and husband along with another daughter. Was required to pay more for 5 people. I was ok with that extra amount Arriving at the hotel we only had a room with 2 beds available and no other bed. cot or sofabed. Hotel indicated that this type of situation occurs frequently with expedia bookings, in future will not risk booking through expedia for more than two people

We took our daughter to college. Spent 2 nights at this hotel. Great location, free breakfast got the day started quickly, easy on/off the highway.

Very nice hotel!

Posted Aug 29, 2014
Pros: clean room; great breakfast
Cons: There didn't seem to be a fan in the bathroom, so there was a lot of moisture when the shower was used.
Location: Freeport is a great town for shopping, and there are many excellent restaurants, especially Harraseeket Lobster and Lunch on the water front.
We spent three nights at the Freeport Holiday Inn Express. Our room was clean and comfortable. The included breakfast each morning was great - pretty well anything you would want for breakfast was provided! The staff were very friendly and helpful. We would certainly stay there again when we visit Freeport.
