Great hotel. Close to the freeway but not noisy. Close to gas and burger joints. Friendly staff and a great breakfast spread. The indoor pool was awesome.

A nice stay, well worth the price

Posted Jun 30, 2014
Pros: The breakfast are Great! The bed was excellent! The staff was courteous and nice. The poll was relaxing. the room was clean. free use of internet.
Cons: Parking is shared with a restaurant and club and on certain nights there is not enough space for guest to park and go to their rooms.
Location: Not in downtown area but close enough to visit any of the areas attractions.
Most comfortable bed i have ever slept in. Best breakfast of any hotel i have stayed at. Tv channels aplenty and excellent pool. Couldn't be happier, with the exception of the parking lot. The hotel needs its own lot clearly marked for hotel guest. Certain times of the week the club next door fills up and takes all of the parking spaces and then the hotel customers have no place to park to go to their rooms. that is why i could not give you an excellent rating, but everything else was wonderful.

Clean room, good staff, easy to find, I would stay at this location again. We forgot toothpaste and they provided some.

Convenient location

Cons: If I had a complain would be the loud music they play outside at the entrance.
The hotel was clean, the staff friendly and the breakfast was met my requirements and wishes.

OK

Cons: Better info re: long distance calls.
The experience was ok. Not quite what I expected from the pictures. However the real shocker was when I went to pay up and found I had a 27$ bill for a 10 minutes long distance call which from home would have cost me 50 cents. I even called the desk ahead to ask what the costs would be. They said normal. Normal is outrageous.

Friendly decent play to stay

Posted May 4, 2014
Pros: Close to many south end places to go to. Friendly staff. decent breakfast. fairly comfortable rooms
Cons: Have better system to let guests in if after 12n on your checkout day
For the price ($85/night) was more than adequate for what we needed. The morning breakfast that we had was nice. Had warm food which is more than other similar hotels provide. Although my sons told me that the pancake maker was not too friendly and the taste not that great. The first lobby person was very nice. gave us late checkout for the next day. however when we tried to get in our room after the 12n timeframe we couldn't and the lobby person tried 3x's to key a new card and failed. Ended up getting a housekeeping person to let us in. Frustrating on that part.

We are very glad that you enjoyed your stay with us! We do apologize for the inconvenience with your late check out. After hearing your issues, we have instituted a new system to make it easier for guests who request late checkout, so they don't have to come all the way back to the desk for new keys. Thank you very much for your feedback, and hopefully we'll see you on your next trip to Oregon!

Unexpected luxury at economic prices

Posted Apr 28, 2014
Pros: Just a nice hotel with a good pool and a good location to Portland.
Cons: More sound proofing.
HUGE room for very little and well kept, comfy. Beds were very comfortable, room was well decorated and clean. Pool was very well kept and perfect for the little ones to burn off energy. The automatic pancake maker was fun and the breakfast is a good bargain. Next visit to Portland, stay at this little hotel and save money but still enjoy the NW experience.

You can trust Holiday Inn

Posted Apr 22, 2014
The hotel is conveniently located near the highway leading north to Portland. Holiday Inn standards can always be trusted. Hotel has nice pool. Package comes with breakfast and wifi. Only downside: it is located on a corner immediately turning off the highway, sometimes easy to miss and having to make sharp U turn.

We are very glad that you enjoyed your stay, and that we were of convenience to you. We are actually looking into clearer signage to help guide our guests to our hotel, so hopefully the next time you are in the area, you'll find it a bit easier to get to us!

Great value for the price

Pros: Good sized pool. Free breakfast, incl. protein options (eggs and sausage).
Cons: Signage: You don't expect to have to traverse a gas station /parking lot in order to get to the hotel behind.
Location: Quick and easy access to I-5.
Second time we've stayed here, so we knew how to find the pool (gotta take the elevator down to the 1st floor). Until you orientate yourself, it can be confusing. But it's worth it: it's a good-sized pool and I could actually do some laps. Room was clean, bathroom was big, bed was comfy. Both times our room faced I-5, but the berm and trees between the hotel and the highway meant very little highway noise. My daughter loved the new pancake maker machine in the breakfast room.
